Blimey, a train from London to Birmingham can cost this much! If interested, I would suggest going when the Venetian Festival is on (end of Feb from memory) but this is a great deal. Beautiful place and at the right time of year (heard it can smell a bit in the sun!) plus 2 or 3 days is enough and hotel located on the island which is a plus.

Just for your info...
Venice will be absalutely freezing. (Was -12 when I was there).

Cheap one is sold out. Can't find flight details before you book?

nigella Lawson reckons the best time to visit Venice is the winter. she's an expert on the place apparently

Don't book with these jokers. I just booked to fly from Stansted and they've booked Luton??? Fighting with customer services past 48 hours as they reckon there going to check the call recording. Also there guilty of upping the price

After reading the reviews I think I will pay extra and go elsewhere..

Look at the hotel!

It is cold in Venice this time of year. I went last year in February for 4 days. There is a lot of walking to do as there are no cars allowed on the mainland there! Real experience though and would 100% recommend it! Make sure you get a water bus pass too, very quick way to get around and they run like clockwork. I don't think it's in place yet but beware of the noisy wheel cases ban just incase :) I'd go again for sure!

argh i am available just after 14th :(

i went may last year and it was warm and the water had the " warm water smell " if that makes sense.

Defo get a water taxi pass to get around and they run regularly ( it about 50 euros for 2 days each )

Stayed in lido which is the next island down from venice , really nice , very laid back and some amazing restaurants without the eye watering Venice restaurant prices. ( if you head over the relaito bridge through the markets and then down the back streets you will find some amazing pizza , restaurants ( where all the locals eat ) and find " proper venice " - if you want to drink a bottle wine overlooking the grand canal you will pay alot for the privilege but worth it )

Venice is just " stunning " amazing history , stunning sights and everyone should go once in a lifetime ( and you will take loads of pictures )

My favourite place. Go every year in December for a long weekend. Saw this deal but wasn't impressed with the hotel. My current fave is the Duodo Palace behind La Fenice. Book the hotel through one of the hotel sites and fly EasyJet.

For Venice Water Bus is great, on foot look at St Marks square and walk the other way - maybe out to the Arsenal or others, we just wondered the back streets and it's much more interesting - in Summer is packed - unless you go late evening, but still busy.

Clearsky are indeed jokers. I've booked and cancelled 2 potential trips with them (this one, plus another to Amsterdam) via Wowcher (who are very good at issuing refunds, fortunately). booked a trip from Stansted, rang Clearsky and they wanted to send me from Southend.. more options if you want to pay supplements. I would steer clear of them in future, unless you have a wide open diary of available dates / happy to pay extras / happy to go to any airport. best of luck!
