I've got these & they do exactly what they are supposed to.
from the website;
2 QUALITY BATTERY TESTERS FOR JUST £2.99 - Just the job for quickly checking the condition/state of your batteries. Every House should have one (or even two perhaps!). Quickly shows you the remaining power on the easy to read scale. Suitable for testing the very popular AA, AAA, C, D and also 9 volt (block) sizes as well as smaller button cells. Small matchbox size widget to save you hassle and uncertainty - easily stored in a camera bag pocket etc.
Measures 5x5x2.3cm and weighs in at just 36 grams.

I have one of these - works really well.

You can also use them to test the ripeness of small fruit and vegetables. Brilliant product.

These always used to be £1.99 for 2. As above there not very accurate and show most batteries as good even if there not. That's not just related to this one but other cheap testers also.

I have one of these too.Got it from Poundland.
It's ok but not really accurate.Now use a digimeter to get totally accurate readings.

Just lick it! :)
If it hurts you have charge, if it doesn't, you don't.

Won't accept payment despite trying again with different card. OOS?
OK, turned out it was a browser problem. Firefox wouldn't do it, though it is the one I use for going through TCB, but Google Chrome would. Anyone else had similar problems? No bother this time on such a low cost item, but a concern if the problem occurs again on a big ticket item.
Oh BTW, thanks OP I was after one, now have to make do with two! LOL
