Right bear with me on this one.

I tried this today and it works. You do not technically save molah as you still have to spend your savings at Tesco, but if you shop there regularly it won't be a problem.

Fairy Excel Non Bio Gel is currently £4.52 in Tesco. Thus costs £9.04 for two bottles.

Asda are currently selling the same at £6.00 for two.

Tesco's are running their "Double the Difference" guarantee.

So after buying these you enter your receipt details on the Tesco's Double the Difference Guarantee website and end up getting a voucher for £6.04 - thus technically costing you £2.96 for the two bottles.

I personally think it despicable using Tesco`s promotion for personal gain!

Surely if it`s double £3.04x2 = £6.08:p

Have some heat(_;)

Thats IF Tesco compare it with Asda, seems they are missing loads of branded items out

Have you got the results back yet ?
#5
i thought the price comparison was only on around 1000 items?

only if its compared!!

Are you sure this is one of the products they compare? this would only last as long as ASDA cntinue to do their offer
#11
Yes - I had the results back from the Tesco comparision before putting this deal up. They did compare directly against the Asda offer and give me a voucher for double the difference.

At work at present, so will try and upload the details from the results Tesco sent me later on this evening for the doubters.

stphnstevey is right though - this will only work whilst ASDA continue the offer. No idea when it ends.

too long-winded for me, but thanks anyway :)

As a member of the Jewish community (we own all the supermarkets apart from Morrissons) I know how this will work. They will have manufacturers make special versions, such as 56 dishwasher tablets instead of 60, or different weights for things like cakes. Anything, as long as the barcode is different. Don't fall for it you schabalsic schmucks.

Sure I read somewhere on Tesco.com that it's valid to compare as long as there isn't +/- 10% difference.

This will probably end up like the recent coffee saga........ (_;)

Does anyone know what the Tesco criteria is...?
Is this likely to work on PG Tips? Only I was in Asda last night and they have boxes of 160 PG Tips at the end of the aisle for £3.00, In Tesco, they are £4.25. Does that mean I would double the difference back on those too?

It would be better to buy these as a seperate shop as it calculates the savings on the whole shop and if anything is actually cheaper at tesco, that will come off your discount
#19
Yes it does work but you have to shop and better to get separate receipt to compare. I got vouch for £12.16 for buying 4 above fairy and comapring it with Asda.

Good luck everybody!!!
