sorry, but these are utter rubbish-build quality is dreadful, performance is terrible-waste of money even at 30 quid.

Have had one of these (bought from B&Q for £40ish) for 3/4 years now.

Never had a problem with it, I have however kept it in the garage allways when not in use.

Does the job very nicely, albeit only a couple of times a year due to the 'summer' we have up in Scotland :w00t:

Without charcoal it aint a bbq might aswell stick to the old style.

Gas BBQ's are for women. Grow some balls and get a charcoal one!

The 'gas' part of it is to get the charcoal burning right?

no, the charcoal on a gas bbq doesn't burn, it gets very hot, and the grease that invariably falls onto the coals burns, but the coals are more for 'show' as opposed to the cooking process, unless of course you have the 'flavoured' charcoal woodsmoke etc then it flavours the food.

gas bbq's are much easier to control, each to there own...

have to agree there !!!

although i do prefer a charcoal BBQ i have been to peoples houses where they have had gas powered BBQ`s and they do a great job especially if you like a steak cooked a spacific way as they offer far greater control. another great thing about a gas BBQ is the fact you can actually use roasting trays and sauce pans to control the heat up sauces or even roast vegies so you keep the heat but dont loose the veg down the grill.
sure you can do all that on a charcoal BBQ but you loose a lot of the control that a gas BBQ offers.

saying all this im more the good olf fashioned "slab of meat" on the barbie leave it till its cooked though without any fancy stuff.
