Just told the wife about this and she reckons they were £3 in our local.
#2
Just doing the Asda dance (slap on bum cheek!), then off to asda I go

Just got one of these, its fantastic value. Got Chicken & Mushroom portion, Chicken in OK sauce portion , 2 x rice portions, 2 x prawn crackers and 2 onion bhaji's (I know its Indian but wife likes them, but you can have spring rolls instead)

p.s. they are also doing Chinese chicken curry & Hoi Sin Chicken portions for a £1 :)

must admit i dont have a wife who cooks me chinese food, well i dont have a wife at all, and have to say these are not enjoyable
#8
Deal was on in our local

Good price, poor quality though IMHO
#9
it's a good find a cheap so i've voted hot - but you'd probably be better off not eating anything because of the amount of saturates and sugars in them. (not being too serious or anything)
#10
Good deal but dont think they are authentic.

Depends where you go,I have been to 2 Asdas, one was fantastic at these, other the food tasted off, and I tried it a few times just in case it was a one off.

Besides when most Chinese takeaways charge around £4.50-£8 odd for a special curry and fried rice and prawn crackers and you are getting 4xmeals and rice here for around £6.50 then hey you get what you pay for.

great find

Also £3 at my local. I agree with some that this is far from authentic. Their indian curries are more authentic. The Chinese stuff is just bland and you dont have to be Chinese or a great cook to make a better dish.
#14
these are disgusting. Not worth the money.
#15
the best take away '2 for one' is 2 currys for £4.50 in Morrissons. Better than most real takeaways. Especially tikka masala and korma mmmmmmmm. you also get 2 naans and a big rice.

what do people want for £3.50!!!! if you dont like the curries they are doing a chinese pizza ( 10" with hoi sin chicken) for £1 and you can have the choice of 3 bases.

oops think offer may of finished - sorry
#18
have to echo what the others say. Much better off paying a little bit more and getting something much more enjoyable to eat at the local takeaway.

I agree, dreadful quality food made in an unsanitary factory by unsklilled people
#20
Mascherano
unsklilled people !?

I agree NOTHING worse than "unsklilled" people

K

PS - What does unsklilled mean ???? :whistling:

Unsanitary factory lol - yes of course you would be far better going to your local chinese who are far, far more hygeinic. I personally don't like the rubber chicken they put in these Chinese dishes - where as my other half thinks it is Lubbery (she is Chinese - happy new Year!!).

Well totally OT but a good few years ago my local chinese takeaway was prosecuted for having a dog in the freezer. But as they are cheap and do a lovely beef in black bean, I still buy from them :-D
#23
I think the only Chinese food that is good at Asda is the House Special fried rice. Haven't tried their new Chinese products tho.
#24
Well you hope it is BEEF and black bean sauce I guess - I take it they maybe thought they would keep the dog for some seriously tasty chinese snacking - Hot Dogs.
