The Telegraph has teamed up with English Heritage to offer readers the chance to enjoy 2 for 1 entry to more than 100 English Heritage properties across England. See the newspaper on Saturday, June 21.

English Heritage invites you to stand in the very place history happened from the 1066 battlefield near Hastings where the last English King fell to the Secret Wartime Tunnels at Dover Castle where the “Miracle of Dunkirk” was masterminded. Step into the study where Darwin wrote the book that shook the Victorian world, “On the Origin of Species”, or walk in the footsteps of Roman soldiers as you explore one of the forts that span the 73 mile stretch of Hadrian’s Wall. If Victorian grandeur with a dash of seaside fun is more your scene, then get across to the Isle of Wight and spend a day at Queen Victoria’s royal residence, Osborne.

This year has bought history to life across even more of their sites. For the first time in over 400 years you can stroll along the wall walk at Bolsover Castle and take in its panoramic views and children of all ages can enjoy playing with Victorian toys and games in the nursery at Audley End.

Royal Mail are corporate members of English Heritage so their staff get in to most of their properties on production of their work pass
