This offer was available last year but only for Milton Keynes but this time it is available for the new Manchester site as well.
£49 for two people - normally £49 each. use the Natwest voucher code for 20% discount also 12% Quidco, but I don't think you can have both.
It is only 2 minutes flight but it works out to less than £20 each, only catch is that it is not available on weekends unless you pay more.

#3

#4
ordered it just to see the face of the misses in full flight
#5
this equates to 1.2 kilometeres of simulated freefall at terminal velocity, bargain.
#6
Quidco?????? Can't find it, can you actually get it?
#7
Midweek only though as well , so its a day off work for this :-(
#8
What is your job ??
#9
Tempted by this but can't see how it could be much of a thrill??

Maybe if the floor was a video monitor that showed an image of the ground coming towards you faster and faster...
#10
what happens if there's a power failure mid flight? :w00t:
#11
i used topcashback with buyagift when i used a voucher code and i got declined, but did the same with quidco and it got validated and paid ............ my point is use quidco rather than tcb as you have a much better chance of using the code and gaining cashback, hope this helps xxx

I have done this several times (@ bedford) and let me say, the experience is fab! yes it is expensive but isn't all 'experience days?'. 2 mins doesn't seem a lot but it is worth every penny in my books. voted hot, as I love this 'sport'. :)
#14
2 minutes flight ,for £10
what a joke no one is that daft are they?
#15
I did this a couple of years ago with Tesco clubcards, you get 2 lots of 1 minute. I know it doesn't sound like much but 1 minute at a time in a wind tunnel was enough for me. I'm sure th children I was with would have happily stayed in longer. Me and my sister were useless, we did fly and we could turn ourseves round and move our body to go higher and lower in the tunnel. It was absolutely hilarious and watching the video back afterwards was even more so. I've not looked at the details but even if it's midweek you could go after work.

if you weigh up what you can buy for £10 nowdays then it isn't a joke really - you are getting a unique experience and that is worth £10 (or more!) in my books.

I challenge you to find another 'thrill' experience ie driving, hot air ballooning etc for under that price :)
#17
This is a great deal. Just a shame both locations are so far away from me which really bumps the price up! But im seriously considering this as a present for my dad! And obviously I would take him :)

Anyone who moans about £20 each needs to lighten up! The point of these experience days is you do something that you will probably never do again.

What!? You think that this is a 'Sport'? Are you joking?

I'm sort of with the majority here. £20 for 2 minutes of entertainment works out at £600 per hour. Whereas the 'other experience days' are £50 or so for an hour. It might be fun for two minutes, but don't go claiming that it's great value.

But who cares, if you have the money spare and want to do it, then go do it. It's only £20 for gods sake, not like it's your life savings or anything.

The title is misleading. It's £20 each if you buy two, hence should say '£40 for two people' in the title.

And, as before, you're comparing apples and oranges. The driving, hot air ballooning etc 'thrill' experiences last a lot longer than two minutes.

this looks wicked think i might get this for my son and a friend for his birthday!! heat added x

?

It's not for an hour, so why convert it that way. Compared with a £150ish per person sky dive which may last around a minute. 2 minutes for £20 is pretty good if you don't fancy going through with a full sky dive.

You could pay £50 for an hour of driving (something you do everyday) a faster car, or you could experience the sensation of free-falling, something you probably haven't done before, and may never do again.

Cold. If it had been 1/2 an hour, or even 10 minutes for that price I'd have considered it.
#23
I have a mcdonalds 20% off voucher for buyagift.com if anyone wants it
#24
2 mins might not sound much but its seems longer when you are actually participating. It is expensive, I also traveled from Dorset to Milton Keynes & stayed over night just to do this.
Yes I am mad.
I have done all sorts of mad things. The BlouKrans Bungy, White Water rafted the Zambizi, Tandem Sky Dived, Caged Dived & Abseiled Table mountain .
I would still recomend this to try but only if you are local to the facilities & only if it is discounted.

I am - £20 to be able to fly- bargain.
#26
just to clarify a tandem skydive with video is £300 thats 10 mins in the plane, 45 seconds freefall and 3-4 mins under a canopy! thats £1200 pounds an hour!!
you also have to be briefed and kitted out and the excitement begins there for most people.
But its about exhilaration not duration,
the wind tunnels are an experience that most people love and re-living it on video is great fun for family and friends also.
why not try it? what else can be so much fun for £20?
£10 for 1 minute is value in my book
heat and rep!

sorry to question your maths but its more like 6.5 kilometres of freefall! assuming your a "flat flyer" ie belly to earth ;-)
#28
Good deal wish i was closer.

Same feeling as terminal velocity of free fall. Feel what it is like to fall at 120mph.

I would also recommend wanna be skydivers to do it before starting a course as it is the cheapest method to gain experience.
#29
'Experience the sensation of free-falling' - did you copy and paste that directly from the website or are you that gullible? It's not free falling, its just floating a few feet above the ground in a wind tunnel.

The sensation is the same as freefalling, if you close your eyes it will feel identical.
#30
did this 2 years ago. quickest 2 minutes of your life and you're crap at keeping yourself in flat flight then feel a bit useless after :)

Thats like saying lying in a sandpit in the kids playground with your eyes closed is exactly the same as lying on the beach in Madeira.
#32
I did this in Florida, 2 lots of 2 mins.
If you haven't tried this before then you have no idea of it's 'worth'. Unless you can find it cheaper £20 is a bargain, end of. :p
#33
Just booked for work outing.

Cant complain and its a day off work and only 20mins away :)

Heat added

People voting "cold" because it sounds expensive are stooopid!!! Compared the the usual price it's really cheap (which in my mind makes it a HOT DEAL in the UK).

On top of that, the "experience" is usually an hour or two with a couple of mins of skydive time (more than a real skydive). IVe been to the MK one (smaller, fun orientated, "extreme-sport" taster) & the bedford one (biggest in europe, pro-level, proper skydiving training).

I actually enjoyed the MK XScape one because it was more tailored for beginners who fancied a go in a group of friends. The Bedford BodyFlight one was a little intimidating - 10mins before my session we were watching the Spanish national skydive team practice 5 people formations & the lounge area was full of pros & semi pros.

plus, the Bedford one you get to wear a stuffed toy on your helmet!!! :-D

Was it worth it? Definately.
Did the time go really quickly? Nope - a min feels like quite a long time.
Would I do it again? Yes.
Will I go regularly? Nope - Young family & more sense than money!!! ;-)

Dan

ps- On a similar note, Bodyflight @ bedford are installing a "FlowRider" wave simulator - this is very cool. & equally prohibitly expensive. As an inland surfer, I'm considering going regularly (anyone want a kidney???).

People need to understand "value" is subjective, and different people will find this a good deal. Those not into such things probably won't.

Agreed. Honestly, it's funny when folk take such great offence that lots of people would consider half the normal price for this experience good value. Just because you have an opinion doesn't make it fact.

sorry, but have you experienced it? you wouldn't last 1/2 hour (ine one go!) in the tunnel!!

No, the 'majority' have voted this a hot deal.

As I said, its probably a good laugh for a minute or two.

So, you've not actually experienced it yet feel qualified to be rude to people who disagree with your opinion? Nice attitude you got going there.

Anarchist
Are you stupid? That's the reason why I converted it up to an hour - people comparing the value of this with the value of experiences that last an hour (or more), so the only way to do that is to convert it to how much this would be for an hour. L2maths purlease.

Say you asked a teenage boy, say sonny, here's £20. Now, you can choose to spend it on 2 mins with Cheryl Cole, OR, you can have a WHOLE HOUR, with Susan Boyle. The decision is yours. What's he going to say? Hmmmm?

I just ate a chocolate bar in about 30secs - cost me £60/hour. :x

None of the members (on here) who have been for such a trip, have complained yet. All have been satisfied with the experience. That says something in itself.
