been on one of these 2 day cruises really enjoyed it, not much to do in amsterdam tho, apart from naughty things. cruise ship is amazing tho nice refreshing short break for a great price. The food onboard the ship is very nice aswell. heat and rep added. Also depart from hull.

So ok, I don't understand why this is cold. If any one voted cold it would be most helpfull to give a reason so that we can see the WHOLE picture! Seems like a good deal to me.

I went on one of these cruises last year. Thoroughly enjoyed it, with lots to see in Amsterdam. A canal boat tour is a must.

Drinks were quite expensive on board, so next time I would probably have a few drinks in the room before going out.

With 14% Quidco this works out at only £28.81 per person.

Cant see any dates at £67, cheepest available are £78. Still quite good, went on one of these a few years ago, think I had a good time, cant really remember much of it.
#5
Voted hot, seems like a good deal, shame I am nowhere near Newcastle though!

There is loads to do in Amsterdam other than naughty things! However not worth going on one of these two day trips because you arrive in Amsterdam about 11am and have to leave between 3-4pm. Theres little time to do anything. Better to add a stopover in a hotel.

I love all these 'but im in London and Newcastle is miles away' quotes, how do you think we all feel with all the cheep flights/deals leaving from London all the time. Funny.
[helper]#14
Im not sure but I would imagine that the two for one is for the mini cruise only and meals will be extra (dinner each way for two persons will add almost £100 to the cost.)
#15
Meals are extra, but still a great price IMHO.

in what way is this pointless ? :?
#22
Prices shoot up unless you intend on starving....£23 per person per direction for dinner seems *very* steep!

Pointless post in every way.:whistling:
Would you care to enlighten us as to why the offer is pointless?
#24
I have been on this cruise before in the top class suite it was ace ...but not cheap! With fuel surcharges and meals you'll struggle to pay less than £200!!! Looks like there is even a £12 booking fee!!

If you can afford it go for it, if you're looking for a cheap deal - look elsewhere...
#25
I went on a P & O 2 day mini cruise a few days ago, just got home on wednesday, we left from hull and went to Zeebrugge.
For me and my sister with an outside cabin it was £80 so we still got the 2 for 1 offer.
It was really good, we booked a eveining meal when we arrived on the ship which was lovely, and we watched mamma mia onboard the small cinema.
We are fortunate to have friends who live a few miles outside zeebrugge so they were there waiting for us and looked after us for the day.
Might have to do it again while the offer is there!

This has to be one of the most extraordinary statements I have ever seen on HUKD!

Amsterdam is chock full of museums, art galleries and great shopping. Quite apart from those, there is the simple pleasure of wandering along quaint streets while admiring the little bridges over the canals. As for restaurants - don't even start me!

As another poster said, yu really need to book a stop over to make this worthwhiloe, otherwise you are going to spend most of your time on board the ship.
#28
means we have to go to newcastle.. are you allowed there if u have a job?
#29
Nice deal but Amsterdam is closer to me then Newcastle lol !! just jump on the eurotunnel and be there in 2 hours !

Don't understand the negative comments about not being a good deal.
THIS IS A GREAT DEAL.
if you guys smoke cigarettes or roll your own you can offset
the price buying CIGARETTES and TOBACCO
if you don't smoke sell it to your friends. :whistling:
We have some large packages to send to my sister in-law in amsterdam it would cost £400 to send buy post but now i have seen this spot i have saved a fortune only regret is i can't add more heat.
Cost £151 with all you can eat buffet meals for two.

You obviousley haven't ventured up North since the miner's strike, over 30 years ago.

There are no working pits up here now, we don't wear many flat caps, we don't really care for dog racing and we have electric lights up here now. (In fact Joseph Swan invented the light bulb in Newcastle)
:whistling:

The way the stock market is going there may soon be higher unemployment in the City of London.

They seem to have two sites and share the special offers
www.dfds.co.uk is the main site but they also have
www.AmsterdamMiniCruise.com
This site is less well known so there might be more chance of getting the special offers there
#39
I certainly can't get it to work.
