The deal is good, but I have to say customer service at the B&Q in Leicester is horrendous! Its fine if you know what you want, and don't have any interaction with employees on the shop floor, but god help you if you do. I know this isn't the forum to complain, but I thought I'd put it out there encase anyone else has experienced similar service in other parts of the country. A quick Google search for B&Q Leicester and a glance at their reviews will give you an idea of what I mean. Again I do apologise but I thought I'd put it out there!
(Just to be clear this is not a rant at ALL the employees in that particular store, the ones I've had the misfortune to come across seem to be the worst amongst them)

I've got one of these and went through 3 to find a Chuck that didn't wobble. Keyless Chuck can be a pain. Make sure you try it out asap. Otherwise a good drill having taken lots of abuse.

He might not have bought a 3rd. He may have used the warranty on the 1st and 2nd one and got it replaced etc. free of charge. Just a thought?

Another thought. If you're using power tools for medium/heavy duty industrial purposes (to the extent that you burn out three of them)...don't buy odd-job man power tools as its blindingly obvious that's not what they're intended for.

Re chuck wobble. Do you adjust the bit size - eg. if you want to drill a 6mm hole but the chuck has a 1mm wobble should you use a 5mm bit ? edit or maybe a 4mm bit?

That went way over my head lol!

I use 3 drills, all set up to do different things! It's like having a multitool makeup thingy, it can do lipstick, eyeliner and powder erm stuff (I am now out of my depth (_;)) so instead of changing the end to do the different things, I have 3 tools, each set up to do one thing.
So it's alot quicker.

and they had loads in stock when i went in, its not really advertised on the shop (just in a small brochure on the way OUT!) and the website doesnt let you know what other items are included so hunted them all out for us bargain hunters :-)

Just buy 2 drills, you can give one away as a christmas present. Most days i use the Cordless Hammer Drill, only when that cant take it...i break out the old "Power Devil" hammer drill.

2 x 650w hammers drills for £30, amazing

I'll wait till Wed see if I get 10% club discount as well. Mac Allistar I think is their own brand? They have so many home name brands over the years, when they were Focus, and other names. I went in a couple weeks ago and they had new price tags on lots of shelves, grabbed some nails I needed priced £2.90. Get to till, £3.50 (now if I'd had a load of stuff I prob wouldn't have noticed. **** off, I left. Then went back as I really needed the nails. Had a idea took a different size bag nails to till. Yep, higher price at till! Wonder how many were caught that day, new prices on shelves, no updating of tills. Nice guy at till simply said oh ok I'll discount it. Not quite the same but I got them at shelf price. Complained and B&Q got back, apologised and said store manager would be in touch. So far, not a dicky bird!

I do wonder how many people get overcharged for stuff because they are just too busy to check receipts. A friend works in a supermarket and apparently this happens a lot. Stuff also gets put in wrong places and customer picks it up thinking it's price on shelf when it isn't. Okay, you should check but many people today are so rushed the time is not there. Me? I check if I'm a penny short! LOL

I use 3. One set up as an SDS, one as a wood/metal normal chuck and one as a screwdriver. I found this to be the optimal setup for me.
I can fly through any task with minimal changes needed.
