Just my opinion of course but I would get a 10cm thick one. I have one and it is awesome

Perhaps op should change the title to 'From £16.33' or add 'Single size' as this is the price for the single size only.
#3
do these things really help or is it just wasting money when a new mattress is still gonna be needed?

where would we get a 10cm one ..........???????

They can help if your old mattress has just gone hard with age and lost its cushioning, but is otherwise solid and supportive.
I wouldn't use one if the mattress itself was no longer supportive.

And remember don't throw or give these away when your done with... cut up to fit memory foam toppers are fab for
pumping up tired cushions....inside or outdoor ones... I also use some to rest my elbow on when on the PC...
in a small pillow cover of course... they have loads of uses ;)

This review made me giggle

The item arrived well before the stated delivery date, and there was no need to air it, the chemical smell wasn't very strong at all, and there was also no need to let it regain it's shape, as it was quite loosely packed.
So anyways, we put it on the bed, and it instantly transformed it into a magical marshmallow wonderland, as soft as a unicorn's pubes, and as gentle as the brush of an angel's nipple. One can only imagine the sheer joy I felt when I realised that if my girlfriend lies face down on it, then gets up very quickly, she leaves an impression of her stunning breasts in the foam. And yes, that works on buttcheeks too.
I've seen these in the corporate-greed-shops at well over £100. Don't end up paying for some shareholder's trip to the Maldives this year, give your money to these folks, who are clearly just making a reasonable profit, yet still supplying the same quality of item.
I'd have given it six stars, but now I'm late for work most mornings, either from sleeping in, or from pondering too long on the boob-impressions.

I cxouldn't recommend it enough, even if your wife is flat-chested, with a bum like a bag of spanners.

I think these deals are just a kind of warm up for them to stretch it over a longer period as possible. The true black friday deals IMO at least are on the actual friday itself (and debateably the weekend too)...

Read the 40 odd one star reviews, saying it is just ordinary foam NOT memory foam and stinks badly.
I was going to buy one but will not bother now.

Perhaps they are just initial reviews. People have come back to update their review saying the topper doesn't last more than 4 months.

I know nothing about memory foam, so I'm of no help to any of you.

I've got a three inch one (mattress topper that is) and its totally changed the bed, far more comfortable without the sinking feeling of a non sprung mattress

We've got the 50mm thick from some time ago, the only thing I would say is that it does not behave like memory foam should do - when you press your hand down onto it, it doesn't hold the shape - acts just like dense normal foam.

hmmm was tempted - but lot of reviews on amazon, plus comments, seem to indicate its not real memory foam. Only thing to then wonder is if any difference based on if some were sold by 3rd party seller
