sounds too good to be true!

anyone used this before? it says 100 paintballs, is this enough and do u need to buy more?
#3
went on their website, will try and answer my own question:

it appears u pay £2 and get 100 paintballs to start u off, on their half day shoot a person will use 300-400 paintballs, so will need to buy 300 @ £7/100= £21,

so u really only save £5 on your first 100 paintballs! maybe someone will tell me i'm wrong? hope so, got 15 boys from a football team looking for a day out and got my hopes up for a bargain!

you are right. Some even offer free entry as they make all their profits from the paintballs which are a complete rip-off.

You are going to need a lot more than 100 paintballs for a days paintball....at least 500...and thats really the bare minimum...

ebay is full of deals like this and they are all pants...£6 - 10 for 100 paintballs soon adds up for an expensive day...The vouchers get you nothing...You have to pay a deposit for your first 100 paintballs (usually £10)...so you don't actually get anything "free"

you are better off telephoning the site directly and getting a better package...Skirmish do £50 for a 1000 paintballs, kit and lunch...that should do you for the whole day.

I went recently (not to this one) and i was consevative and used 1000 , some used over 2000 this is just a gimmic to get you in .I paid £35 for 500 paint balls and then they were £7.50 per 100 but we bought 2000 and shared as this worked out cheaper.

Paintball sites will virtually always charge you next to nothing for entry because they make their money on the balls, food and drink. You're probably better off calling the site direct and asking for a deal including balls.

we went to bedlam paintball and it cost a fortune for the balls i spent £50 and i stopped and i didnt play the last game i was covered in mega bruises but it was a great laugh there was about 20 of us! a bottle of water was £4 total rip off we ended up driving to a local shop and bought stuff there and brought it back with us :)

Recball paint is bought in for about £15 for 2000 :D

Incase no one else has posted this.

This is how paintballing places make money. You can get the tickets for practically nothing. Look on ebay. 20 tickets for 1 quid etc etc.

100 paintballs will last like 1, maybe 2 games if you get shot out in less than 30 seconds.

an extra 100 paintballs is usally between 6 and 10 quid. They do deals on like 2000 for 100 quid which is the best way to do it, buying in with friends.

Im not saying this is a good or a bad deal as its just as average as everywhere else.

The thing is to remember you will need to spend between 50 and 100 on the day for paintballs and grenades.

Dont let it put you off as you think an hour on go karts would be like 40 quid. This is 10x more fun.

But dont think you are getting all inclusive for 2 quid!

100 paintballs, have a good 10 mins.

Thats if they all fire, usually there so cheap the burst in the barrel.

As said, best phoning and striking a deal, and take your own paint.

Echo everyone elses comments, so I won't bother typing the same stuff.

Last few times I've been paintballing, I've used around 700-1000 paintballs.

Awesome fun though, and a lot harder than you might think!

Went paintballing a few years ago, think me and my mates got 200 to start with, and at the end of the second game (out of 5 games) they were all gone. We all put some money in to buy a big bag of 1000 which was something like £70-£80 and they were gone on the 4th game.
Our 5th game we were just shooting air, but we made use of the rules where if you manage to get to an opposing team member and say surrender then they arnt allowed to shoot you for Safety reasons.

While it was fun, i dont think i'll do it again.

+1 vouchers are a con and end up being more expensive

Watch out for the 'stewards' urging you to fire off hundreds of paintballs in the very first round - they are there to get you to buy more. Pace yourself. Dress light because under the overalls you will get hot and sweaty. Be prepared for plenty of cheats and ********s who will shoot you at point blank range against all the rules. You will come home with bruises. O and in my experience at least the grenades are crap - don't bother.
