I don't think this has ever been posted & it needs to be........ Poundland, on a regular basis, sells 2 Litre (or it could be 4 pint) bottles of milk for a £1. The major supermarkets need to hold their heads in shame. All of the majors charge around £1.50, if Poundland (and 2 of my local corner shops for that matter!!!!) can do them for a quid, why can't they!! Surely, with their size and buying power they should be able to undercut my local corner shop!........ I don't want to say too much, just simply ask yourself why it is that the Majors charge so much & that their prices for milk are all around the same price! The answers simple...... PS Don't get me started on Bread!

Tesco's Discounted Brand is 1.06 for the same size. No need to hang head in shame for too long! :thumbsup:
What about bread.....?
What about bread.....?

Don't get him started!
Farmfoods = £1
Iceland = £1.25
Sainsburys 1% fat is £1 for 4 pints (2.272 litres).
as has been posted on here i believe arla milk is 97p for 2 litres
Yep, fair play to Farmfoods & Iceland. I'm moaning at the 5 majors whose prices are identical!.... Check out Mysupermarket.com. all of them are charging £1.53!!.... It's 50p more than we should be paying........ OK, they have the odd promotional introductory offer such as the 1% milk & the Arla, but those prices won't last will they! They'll soon bung the prices up to match their brand own brand milk
The 1% isn't a promotional offer, its been on for what, 6 months? I'd think it's here to stay.
Great deal, BUT this is still currently a pilot and not all stores will have this. They're piloting milk, bread and egg, with the intention of rolling out uk-wide - the boss was on gmtv a few weeks back talking about this. Heat added tho.
