Quick pitch tent - basically just take out of the bag and it springs up when you throw on the floor, then peg it down and you're ready. Might be tricky to get it back in though but I'm sure instructions will be included. :)

Like the Gelert quick pitch but cheaper.

OK, so they won't stop a hurricane but for a quick sunny weekend tent without the hastle of putting up a traditional tent, these cant be too bad a price. Sell for about the double the price on Ebay and for similar Gelert quick pitch versions.

They're not spacious so are really only for either a single person or a couple of small children (or an adult & child maybe). Also doesnt seem to well insulated from the cold so would presume best in the warm weather to keep the insects off rather than in the rain, but if anyone hs any experience of these do let us all know please.

Found this description from a seller on on Ebay as Netto dont give one-
"Zipped fly screen and door, 2 windows with zipped covers, with pockets below each window, ground sheet sewn in, ventalation is via a vent on the roof and an adjustable flap on the back, when in its backpack it measures 78cm. When open 240cm (8ft) long 145cm (4ft 9") wide and 100cm (3ft 3") high"

Available from Netto from Monday June 23rd whilst stocks last

It *looks* to be single skin, NEVER EVER buy a single skin tent for use in the UK!

And there is an art to folding up a popup tent, at first it WILL seem impossible!

These are worse than useless - try getting the Confidence 2 man tent from Amazon its £18 (incl P&P).

I would have agreed with the never buy a single skin tent - but used one of these £18 tents in the Lakes last week (major downpour, v.windy) in an emergency and very pleasantly surprised.

if you're looking for a quickpitch tent i can't recommend the quechua series enough.
i mean it's not the tent for hiking on your back but for things like festivals they are a delight.

http://seconds.quechua.com/

my 2 second tent has lasted though 6 or 7 festivals now and every time strikes envy with my fellow campers.

If these are the decathlon ones [quechua] then these are brilliant for any festival, sports event or just general, not having to walk far tent. I've had mine about 4 years now and its a double skin, keeps me dry is priceless when its dark and wet and all you wanna do is drink some beer cus you've been driving for 5+ hours. Like arpeggi said, will easily last a good few festival seasons!

edit; sorry, didn't realise I could zoom in. Doesn't look like a quechua rebrand and seems a single skin. Check at store for double skin imho and make your choise from that. They are about £35-40 at decathlon for comparison.

2nd edit; I find these easy to fold back up to. If you read the instructions, you basically follow folding a circle onto another circle until it fits in the bag - a couple of tries you can have the 'art' sorted.

should one of these tents be ok for glastonbury?

thinking about getting one today.

Everyone at PinkPop had them this year... (in holland)
I saw lot of people taking these for check in at the airports.. I wish i had one; as it took me a good 15-20 minutes to remember how to pitch my tent again... it's horrible just seeing people throw it in the air, stamp it down and leave :(

I'm gonna pop down to Netto and check if there are any double skinned, not a big deal though to me, as my tent is single skin and i've never had any problems.
