Spotify Premium £1.99 for 2 months. I did a quick google search to find current Spotify deals and this showed up. I think it's for new customers only but if anyone gets it to work with an existing account, can you let me know?

Just click through and scroll down to where it says "2 months of Spotify Premium for just £1.99" and click on the link below, if you've not got a PSN account, set one up (super quick and easy to do). When I originally looked at this it was for the US but you get redirected to the UK site and it's £1.99 not $1.99 - might be able to run it through a VPN if you really want to try to save those extra few pennies ;)!

If anyone has a better deal for a premium streaming subscription I'd be happy to hear! I've used the Deezer 6 month 3 promo, 4 months GPM freebie, 3 months Spotify Premium for £9.99 and the 99p ones, so I'm happy to move around between providers depending on who's offering the best deal! Any promo's for the Family plans? Also, does anyone know if it's possible to use the student offer on a current Spotify account?

DON'T forget to cancel once you're set up! A quick heads up to FlexR for the how-to guide for cancelling the auto renewal (from an old post that I found when I did a quick search to check that this wasn't already out there in a current post).

1. https://account.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com
2. Login
3. Media tab (after Dashborad, Account and Devices)
4. Click Spotify/Music type
5. Expand 'Spotify Premium (Monthly Subscription) Subscription'
6. Cancel Automatic Renewal
7. Done! Enjoy your 2 months.

You're welcome! To be honest, I was hoping that some people would send me to links of some better ones, but it was the best I could find at the mo - people on here love a bit of one-upmanship so I'm hoping this will unearth some other deals...

Just to confirm, this is said just under the button to get the offer: Open only to users who haven't already tried Premium.

Also to OP, I can't remember exactly but I think I made my account a student account after it had been set up initially

Usually end of the year they do a new customer 3 months for 99p but keep a look out they may do it through the year.

Ordinarily, I'd be content to wait, but I'm getting ready for a 4 month trip to India and Nepal and, speaking from experience, the internet out there isn't conducive for downloading large amounts of music. So I'd like to get the majority downloaded prior to heading off, and then add bits and pieces while I'm away.

Have you tried Tidal?
3 months for free (if you have access to an Android device).

http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/three-months-tidal-hifi-lossless-high-fidelity-sound-quality-streaming-service-for-2583354

I know it's promoting my own post and I hate doing it but if it gets you free music access, then I don't mind.

If anyone is game for sharing a family account so it's £2.50 a month, I'd be happy to set one up? I've been searching for a good Spotify deal for a while like OP and besides missing the deal from last year, I haven't seen any pop up since :(

Once your 3 months of premium end then so does the access to the downloaded content. I think it may be possible to stop this if, before the 3 months are up, you block the spotify app from accessing the internet. That way their servers won't be able to stop your phone accessing the downloaded data.

I'd be up for joining a group family account if you get enough takers.

For anyone looking to move from Google play music but is reluctant because of their playlists, I recently used Unportify which was near perfect (I had to sacrifice some Tswift songs for Spotify though) - https://labs.villoslada.me/unportify

What are the limitations (apart from not having access to dreadful music!), are there limits to the size of playlists or the number of playlists/albums you can move at any one time? I've had a look at a few different utilities to import playlists and haven't found one that hasn't been crippled so that you need to use the paid version. I hope this is the one that stops me looking any further! :)

Am I the only one who can't see the spotify service under Music? It's only "Music unlimited" by Sony.
#22
i presume you could just setup a new account with this deal? different password etc? i'm in the last days of a 3 month 99p trial. i don't use it much so the full price is OTT for me
#23
That's what I've done on the past to get deals of it was a new customer only offer.

Hi there thanks for this post. I really would like to sign up for this but I'm going wrong somewhere, I have a PSN account and an old basic Spotify account (never bought premium). On my iPad I have followed the instructions and tried to find the link for the 2 month offer but it is not there, do I need to do this through my account on my PS4?

How does Spotify compare to Apple Music for iPhone users?

Apple Music offer 3 months free trial.

If you use Spotify on your PC you can get even higher quality by installing ASIO drivers via a link.

For those of you that have a large media library and want access to that on the move, look at Subsonic... $12 a year, so $1 a month, for access to your library no matter where you are providing you have network coverage.

I know a lot of the music I have I cannot get online via apple/tidal/spotify etc..

Thanks for that - I've never come across it. While it's not what I'm looking for, it might be just what someone else is looking for :) To be honest, I didn't even get round to uploading any of my own, locally stored music to my GPM account when I had the 4 months of premium!

Really good deal here. seems silly that in the last two years I've spent £10 a month just on spotify but its honestly worth every penny. Used to spend way more on CD's and can't remember the last time I ever torrented anything.

To clarify, this is only available to those with a PlayStation account?

just make a new account, right click your spotify playlists, copy playlist link, then paste into the search box on the new account.

That seems almost too simple! Worryingly so - when I see easy fixes that seem too good to be true I always wonder what the catch is - life is never that straight forward (_;) Great heads up!

I used to use some sort of student discount for prime etc when I was on my apprenticeship but that stopped working a while back. Might have to bother my brother for his school email.

please help, I used prepaid Mastercard that was rejected, and now I cant change card details. I switched off comp, closed all windows. but the website wouldn't let me enter new card details
Have you tried clearing the browser's history or using another browser? Hopefully no one else has this issue.
