2 new games coming for the dreamcast

I just found out recently 2 brand new games coming for the dreamcast . Yes i know it isnt exactly brand new and is homebrewed, But these 2 games are coming onto the dreamcast .

The first game is Wind and water puzzle battles, release date: Oct 2008.
The next one is DUX which is being released Nov 2008.
Both games have no region protection.
Am guessing that wind and watter puzzle games must be similar like tetris and DUX must be similar like last hope, not forgetting last hope is also back in stock and is also no region protection.

Last hope £23.09
DUX £16.11
Wind and water £23.09

Well if you have any info to add be my guest.
I tried to add as much detail as i can think of but high chance i missed out a lot.

indeed, the dreamcast isnt exactly dead as many people claimed, theres still games being released for the console.
#3
must admit i am surprised...but then again was a wicked console, and great over vga too.
then again i loved my saturn and i remember when that was a lost cause i ended up with something like 50 odd games for it and they all cost couple of quid each!
Long live the DC!

Blimey! The Dreamcast..........I sold ours about 6 years ago, I thought they had stopped making new games for it. I remember completing Sonic, the first and probably the only game I will ever complete......Oh and I completed the Getaway on PS2 a few years ago, DH wasn't happy I completed it before him and that was without cheats! . :whistling:

Heat and rep added.
#5
voted hot! i still have my DC with sonice and skies of arcadia!
#6
Wow i didnt know there was still quite a bit of dreamcast fans, thanks for the heat guys.

same here, but if your still interested in looking for a dreamcast keep checking cex online, people are still giving their dreamcasts to them and they are selling them online for £20 with 12 months warranty, i ordered 2 and they both came in good condition. You have to keep checking every now and then on that website to see if theres any of course.
#9
I loved my Dreamcast! Shenmue, Skies of Arcadia, Grandia 2, Soul Calibur! I need to retrieve it from whoever the hell I lent it to...
#10
I bought one when they were first released, cost hundreds of pounds, I still have it, also when Sega quit console production & started knocking them out for £40 a console, I bought 4 of them & gave 3 as gifts & still have a brand spanking new one left, think I'll keep it forever now in that condition, lol I also have about 50 or 60 brand new seales games that I bought when they were knocking them out dirt cheap years ago.

Heat given just cos I love the Dreamcast, loved sonic, remember the chao garden, spent many an hour in thier lol.

You can still get the games pretty cheap as well, i found the following titles for £ 5.72 brand new PAL region.
Virtua tennis 2
Conflict zone
quake 3 arena
virtua fighter 3 tb
And thats it so far, but am guessing they are selling like mad because a lot more are sold out
#12
Still got mine, Virtua Tennis still plays really well! MSR was also a good game and you could hook it up to a phone line and play games like Quake online & surf the net on it too. Pity it was in the days of dial up and suffered from the lag. You could even play mini games on your memory cards LCD screen! Best console out at the time, wasn't pushed enough and I think SEGA were losing interest in consoles so it was easily eclipsed by PSone etc. I think it still has a good fan base in Japan and there were games still coming out over there long after they had stopped over here. You can still pick up second hand games in Gamestation and the like though for a couple of quid and some of the Asian websites like Play-asia were still selling controllers & accessories for it recently.
#13
i'm a fan too, still play marvel vs capcom 2 fairly regularly. An awesome beat-em up!
#14
Still have my dreamcast funny how a few new games are coming out for it after they stoped making the thing like 8 years ago lol voted hot.
#15
I still have my dreamcast - my favourite console ever!! wish sega would get back in the console game

Agreed on both counts! Saturn for Nights and Burning Rangers, DC for just plain Sega arcade style goodness (Crazy Taxi, Rez, MSR, JSR, etc...). I have over 200 DC games due to the er, availability of its back catalogue and I still play it even now. Ferrari F355 challenge is still one of the best racing models in any game - it's a pleasure to drive even if you don't win.

Must resist 360 for £100 and Rez HD on my 120" projector screen in surround. Must resist! Dammit...

Yeah I spent hundreds on DC too when it first came out, with extra controllers and mem cards.

Up in the attic now all tucked up safe. Did get it down a few years ago to play a little homebrew.

Oh, and Soul Calibur was the best:)
#18
Love my Dreamcast. Most played console I have ever owned. Looks great hooked up through VGA on my projector. Rez, crazy taxi, soul caliber, MSR etc were amazing.

Also got Samba De Amigo with Maracas - cost c£69! great fun though:roll:
#19
HEAT AND REP ADDED - Dreamcast can't be beaten for pure adrenaline and rare games - SAMBA DE AMIGO 1st hit the Dreamcast and then there was REZ and oh SHENMUE the list goes on and on....GERAT FIND
#20
damn u sega i want shenmue 3!
#21
The Ice Killer
damn u sega i want shenmue 3!

Well its never gong to happen at this rate, its only because of the dreamcast death, well so called death. Even shenmue online got canned as well, it is strange though how sega stopped making shenmue even though its a 4/5 part saga, incomplete or what eh. Ah well.
#22
Thats insane lol. I bet there arent many copies tho
#23
Ive still got my dreamcast stored away - will sell it if anyone wants to make a fair offer? (iirc, 2 controllers, vmu, 5 or so genuine games......and others).

Did anyone else on here play tokyo bus guide? Gotta be the most random, boring game ever created!
#24
wow, last game I played on my DC was Propella Arena!
#25
Dreamcast my favourite console!!

I was obsessed with it after it commercially died but kept churning out great shooters from japan

Border down, Ikaruga, Psyvariar, Zero gunner 2

I ve got em all and love it

I remember in 2000 i purchased marvel vs capcom 2 and literally poured hundreds of hours into it despite the ps2 being out - i wanted nothing to do with that gen whilst i could still play dc

Wackiest peripherals ever too - twinsticks, densha de go train controller, fishing rods, maracas lol.

Funnily enough i ve just sold Seaman for it on ebay (anyone know what it is?)

Great excuse to talk about my fav console!!!!!!!!!!
#26
I still have my dreamcast in a box under the bed. One of the best games i ever owned was phantasy star online - it was like WoW, but out about 10 years ago. wish i hadn't deleted my character with all the rare weapons :(

You would think that but theres actually quite a load, one of the games called last hope came back into stock 3 times on play-asia so it might stay there a while.
#28
still got 2 dreamcasts in the attic
there was a utopia bootdisc which allowed you to play back ups (no chipping involved)
then the later games had the boot disc on the game disc so no need for the boot disc
love live the dreamcast (segas last console)

EDIT oh yes you could also play virtua tennis on the vmu (virtual memory unit) while you was out and about
#29
Never thought I'd see anything Dreamcast related in Hot UK deals.

It's easily the most underrated console of all time, I still use mine now.
#30
great console, great games. why it died was a combination of good sony marketing of ps2, few months too early to market, lack of broadband and so so easy to pirate games.

The VMU's were genius, build quality I thought was excellent of all peripherals and someone said F355 cant agree more, quality racing game! MSR was a refreshing change over GT2 at the time and I loved it, shame once DC died it changed to PGR and went to Xbox as I'm really not a MS fan.

Fantastic console, was it wrong time to bring to market or just really really poor advertising to the masses?
#31
wow, dreamcast! mine is long gone!
heat and rep added for being a nostalgic gamer.
#32
I still use my Dreamcast for games of Crazy Taxi with the official steering wheel.

Still the best steering wheel that I have ever had / used.
#33
Great post on the new Dreamcast games :) I am a bit of a retro gamer and collector myself and recently bought a minty boxed limited edition Japanese Regulation 7 Dreamcast console. Quite expensive but the Dreamcast looks so nice in black and the console had never been used, certainly a nice collector's item. Anyone interested in the Dreamcast should check out some of the Japanese only shooters, things like Karous and Trigger Heart Exelica were only released as recently as last year. I thought Karous was going to be the last Dreamcast game, but there you go - they still keep putting them out :)

#37

its all about shenmue 1, one of the best games ever
#38
I should vote cold as this is gonna lose me money going on ebay to buy a DC console :( lol
#39
Oh the memories. Phantasy Star Online on NTL 0800 dial up internet access. I spent 400 hours on that in total! Having to reconnect every two hours. I'm welling up:cry:

Check bootsales for DC's - I have about ~10 dreamcasts now, I usually pick one up at every bootsale I goto.

They usually sell for £1-£5 each - sometimes with just one pad, other times with a few pads/puru puru packs/vmu's/games. Cheaper to buy a whole DC with accessories than it is to pay ebay prices for just a vmu. Plus plenty of spare GD drives in case my main one dies - got a few Yamaha drives, the rest are samsung (which are much louder and slower).

RGB Scart cables are quite cheap at play-asia too - around £5 for an official one.

The Dreamcast, SNES and MegaDrive are the pinnacles of console gaming perfection. =]
