Did this last year folks and wasn't that impressed.

Had to drive to Birmingham from Glasgow, so stopped off for the night at the Bowden Hotel in Altrincham.

The room we were allocated was pretty shabby, with the double bed being was more like a large single. We ended up eating out(Sale is a 5 mins walk away) on the second night as we didn't want to eat in the dining area again as the first nights dinner was poor.

The leisure facilities were ok and the redeeming feature of the hotel.

Free alcohol was restricted to Carlsberg and house wine.

I wouldn't use this hotel chain again but it might come in handy if your passing by and need a place to bed down for the night.

I'm sure you won't be expecting the ritz for the price, but thought I'd add my two tuppences worth anyway.

Ah okay thanks for the info

No worries mate.

The place did a job as a stop off point and a base for Alton Towers the next day.

Just wouldn't like anyone booking up thinking they were getting a nice wee break away as the hotel wasn't great.
