site really slow and i wanted to search for family accommodation but gave up as search didn't allow for that. had to trawl through 10 hotels (which took half a minute to load each)to find 1 that did familys. gave up in the end.

£49.50 per night!

It is £49.50 for 2 nights per person based on two people sharing; NOT £49.50 per person per night ie total cost for 2 nights per person is £49.50  In other words - just as I said in the thread title, so please don't be put off by salsa_delux's erroneous post

It's technically not erroneous. £49.50 per night is the same as £49.50 per person, assuming it's two people sharing. If there's only one person in the room, then £49.50 per person is incorrect. I think £49.50 per night is a more accurate title imo :)

Yes, I explained in the title and the description that this deal was for 2 people. I could have said £24.75 per person per night, or 1 person goes free, or 1 person gets the first night free and the other person gets the second night free etc but I thought by saying "2 nights Bed & Full English Breakfast plus FREE DINNER for 2 on both nights & FREE use of the hotel leisure facilities from only £49.50 per person" pretty much explained the deal i.e total cost for 2 people is from £99, which no matter how you look at it works out at £49.50 per person per stay and not £49.50 per person per night.

fantastic price OP thanks very much, H&R added, off to Jersey for the first time thanks to you and Gloucestershire Airport (yes it really does exist)

Just a heads up, the two 'Glasgow' hotels aren't anything great. The Erskine one probably being the better of the two. Search Normandy Hotel and you'll see what I mean. The Normandy has no leisure facilities, is beside a dilapidated industrial estate and is near the airport runway.
#10
some of the hotels are also offering a free bottle of wine and a free upgrade to the highest room possible.

True with that one.
Been there on one of their "Tribute" nights.
£20 for dinner and entertainment, and an extra £20 to stay the night.
Hotel isnt really anything great, wouldnt stay there if we hadnt been sent cheap vouchers to get it cheaper than that. Think we paid the entertainment and got to stay for free or something so was only £40 for two of us.
Rooms are ok, travel-inn'y but facilites theres nothing.

Is it just me? I don't really think that £99 per night for 2 people is a particularly great price for a B&B. Okay so an evening meal is included and of course the "use of facilities", which for the cheapest price (Derby) just shows the restaurant, whoopee whoop.

So you're basically paying a ton a night for B&B and and evening meal. Just stay in a decent B&B and go out for an eveing, cheaper.

I think the OP has given up trying to explain this deal, it is £100 for 2 nights for 2 people, here is my booking details if this clarifies anything...

I am actually flying from 'Gloucestershire' airport also known as Staverton, just off J11 of the M5. I am about a mile away. Flights were £100 pp return through manx2.

I fail to see the confusion here? Andy's title says whats on the tin, some people don't have the brains they're born with these days. Good post Andy, heated!

Oh dear lord, have a day off will ya! Some people.... :?

I agree that the title is not incorrect, but it could be better - no confusion if you say £99 for 2 nights for 2 people - the price should say £99 as £49.50 is wrong (nothing on offer for £49.50 all in). Voted hot as getting a B&B for £50 per night is now difficult.
#19
OK just to add to the confusion:
2 nights b&b plus free dinner for 2 on both nights for 49.50 per person.
Does that mean you can have dinner for 4 on both nights if 2 of you stay?:whistling:
No, I think not, but if you're being pedantic that's how it reads.:-D
