2 for 1 on summer breaks

Don't want your break to end? Now it doesn't have to with 2 nights for the price of 1 at over 400 hotels across the UK and Europe. From a romantic break to a family getaway, with Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn Express, there's somewhere for everyone - and to make your stay that little bit sweeter, kids go free*. Valid for summer stays up to 31st August. Minimum 2 nights, maximum 2 nights, although you could probably book again for the same hotel, but would have to check out at 11am and check back in after 2pm.

Just booked 19th July for 2 nights in the Waterfront Hotel - Edinburgh, £79 total for 2 adults & 2 kids in family room (1 double bed, 1 sofa bed), includes free complimentary car park, complimentary buffet breakfast (continental, not cooked). Not all hotels offer complimentary breakfast or parking.

Seems like a good deal to me, sorry if already posted, did see one from a few weeks back but you had to register at some other site to qualify for the 2 for 1 offer. This is direct with Holiday Inn group.

very hot deal 2 nights in brum for £40.00 - will sleep well at this price :)

thats cheap for brum....is that the centre?
#5
no just on the outskirts (Castle Bromwich about 5 miles from centre) cos the parking in the central hotels ranged from £10-£14 per night. The rooms centrally worked out about £22.00 per night plus parking!!
#6
their website has to be the worst ever designed
#7

#8

hi i tried the leeds brighouse 22nd aug and it showed 2 for 1 offer but whenn i went to confirm booking it said my card was charged at 34.00 per night. i rang reserations who stated they didnt know of the offer. they gave me hotel tel umber direct.
where am i going wrong?
#11
its a con , my local is £35 but as soon as you use the 2 for 1 deal it doubles the price
#12
I was thinking this is a good deal but not really

I wanted to book bristol and i thought £38.50 for 2 nights good deal but what it does is quote room price per night so total stay is £77.00 , so iam led to belive that the room rate is £77 per night , so my total price would be £144 if there was no offer.

MIsleading / cleaver marketing !!!!!!! It should say £77 + £77 = £144 - 2 for 1 promotion = £77 total . Instead of making it look like my whole stay will only cost me £38.50.

Is that right?
#13
it sould say £77 for first night and £0 for second night....

Yup.it's as close to a con as you'll get!!!!!!!!!

I'd already booked Cardiff central 2 weeks ago for 2 nights in August at £42.00 per night...FULL PRICE!!

I thought I'd get the 2 for 1 deal and cancel my original booking..... However, the rate shown at Cardiff central is £40-£45 per night...so you'd assume £40/45 would be your total cost i.e. 2 for 1.

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!! The cost is £40 per night x 2 i.e. they claim the room rate is £80 per night ( click the box on the room rates to show the inflated rates. )....and you pay £80 for night one...night two being free.

Absolute BS!! I've already booked at full rate prior to this alleged 2 for 1 deal for £42 per night...total £84.....so the REAL saving is £4..................

I 've tried a dozen or so other cities / towns...same con.....

Good luck to those who think they've blagged a deal...... but rest assured ( no pun intended ) they've paid the going rate....... still, if they're happy withn that, no harm done.

Deal voted COLD...no offence to the OP...but it's not a 2 for 1 at all.............

Prices are quite confusing...

Not an optical illusion at all (well at least not for me:-D), I have booked 2 mights for my wife and myself and was charged for the first night and the second night was charged as £0.00, with a total for the 2 nights of £49.95, inclusive of continental breakfast. I have the confirmation email and that's what it confirms. BTW, I booked for the 25th and 26th September.

Hope that helps - it's a great deal :thumbsup:- even better than the Friends and Family rates.

Just a quick heads-up on an alternative scheme:

Yesterday, I booked 3 nights at a £89-a-night city-centre hotel through Expedia, for £150.

This was a result of a 3-nights-for-the-price-of-2 deal at Expedia on this particular hotel,
combined with this excellent HotUkDeal showing how you can get £20 off the cost of a booking:
http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/406553/get-a-40-and-20-discount-on-expedia/
..combined with 7% quidco.

It's not quite a "2 nights for the price of 1" deal, but, blimey, it saved me a packet, and got me
a fab hotel at about £50 a night.
#25
i cant seem to get it to work now....trying to book 2 nights in southampton...states £39 per night but the summary then shows £79 for first night...strange!!
#26
Bit of a con really look on the direct hotel site and comin around same price with no offer!

Maybe it's the luck of the draw?!? On the direct site my 2 nights in Preston are coming in at £69 a night - so near enough £140 for the 2 nights. Using the 2 for 1 link, I got the 2 nights for £44.

So I don't know how that is a con??? Seems hot to me.

I did notice the deal wasn't available for all the hotels.

Just booked Edinburgh Royal Mile 2 nights double room with sofa bed for 108quid with free breakfast and free internet access. Good deal Heat added

Great deal.

This also works on hotels abroad... Just checked on some in Amsterdam and they were coming up in the 2 for 1 offer making them really competative prices...shame I've already booked up last month!

Heat added

If you're looking to stay at an IC Hotels group hotel, then there are some good prices to be had using this deal which has been around for a while and is still bookable. Lots of people have used it and confirmed there are no problems at all.
#32
voted HOT !! and not a con for those who said it is. First don't follow the "go to deal" link the op posted - its wrong, MacPhisto posted the correct one.

The rate it shows you ( if you select a 2 night stay ) will be the whole rate divided by two.
For example. the Holiday Inn Express Liverpool for next weekend, 2 nights, will show a rate of £24.50 a night. Its been divided, which you see when you reserve it and scroll down to the Room and Rate Information and then view estimated total, it shows Friday night is £49 and the Saturday night is £0.00
So where is the con? A weekend in a Holiday Inn Express for £24.50 a night for two adults, and you get their continental breakfast free. Nice cheap treat for the lady.
The real rate if you opt out of the 2 for 1 deal - is Best Available @ £51.50 per night.
So for those who say its a con - you pay £103.00 for the weekend, and the rest of us will pay £49.00 for the weekend. Cheers.
So this is a hot deal.
#33
Yeah, not sure what happened to the link in the "GO TO DEAL" button, it takes you to the website but not the 2 for 1 offer. Use the link at the bottom of the original post

its strange that some of them give like an rate of 39.99 per night then when you click in reserve it doubles the first night cost and gives the second free. Did not do this last night when i booked. also i not that prices for a number of places have now changed.........trail and error i suppose and being lucky....

Lots of these hotels say max persons per room is 2 and advise to book 2 rooms, seems strange and must alienate a lot of people
#38
*HOT* Just booked 2 nights near Legoland with 2 adults and 2 kids including breakfast for £60 total. Would cost us almost that to pitch our tent !.
#39
I'm a bit confused!

I'm trying to book a 2 for 1 room for 2 nights in August, the price says £38 a night, when I view average rates it shows the £38 price for both nights?

Am I missing something???

Hi Im hoping someone can help...

Trying to book 2 nights stay in Manchester city centre for myself and hubby for wedding anniversary and there's a choice of rooms....

'2 double beds' £47.50
'1 queen bed standard' £47.50
'standard room' £47.50
'1 king bed club room' £67.50
'1 king bed deluxe club room' £72.50
'2 double bed deluxe club room' £72.50
'club room' £72.50

I want to pay a bit extra to make it a bit of a special weekend but is it worth it? Also does anyone know if the difference in numbed of beds makes a difference on space in the room? Had a look on the internet but dificult to work out....on the net it mentions complimentary cocktail hour, breakfast and dinner snacks for the 'executive club' rooms but none of these are coming up??? any help woudl be appreciated!!! thanks
