Just came across this on Expedia - Probably a pricing error.

Book a flight & hotel deal to Orlando choosing Manchester as the departure and the savings calculated are huge. I've just done a test for departure date of 3 August returning 17 August and it is discounting by over 50%. A 5* suite comes in at £527 per person for direct Virgin flights and accom.

Worth a punt!

Searching for 2 people, cant get anywhere near those prices. Were you basing your search on different numbers??

Would be a superb deal, if it worked!!
#3
Yep 2 adults + 2 Kids.

Just checked on the price for flights only and Virgin are quoting £858 per person so quite a saving.
#4
Absolute barain, unfortunately we are off at the end of August and price is almost double!
#5
The've put those prices up £20 a head now, same dates as OP!
#6
are there are other dates applicable or is it just august 2007. ??
#7
I'm going on the 21st June for a week. £627 with flights, hotel, transfers and disney tickets
#8

Just tried 2 weeks in July and getting similar results :) Don't forget this is peak time for tour operators so these prices are crazy!

Fantastic deal... if it works. We paid more for just the flights last year!!!! Already booked up for this year so cannot try it out. Voted hot!
#11
It's cheap as they aren't in disney hotels I think... Harder to get to disney world I feel.
#12
So it it £500 for 1 week or for 2 weeks?

I didn't think there were any 5 star hotels in Orlando
#13
I just booked 2 weeks for 2 adults 1 child from 3rd August for £1840

Same virgin flight tickets alone are over £2k

Same holiday, same hotel elsewhere is nearly £3k

I'm happy :p

although I forgot to use quidco 2%

Really pleased you could make use of it. We went over last month but stayed in a Villa as there were 7 of us in total - had a great time. If you get a chance go to the Retro nightclub in Downtown Disney....absolute class!!

We flew with Virgin from Manchester and although the flight was quite noisy with the kiddies and all, I really couldn't fault the Airline.

Have a wonderful time

I'm looking to have a trip over with the family later this year - August will do !

I've been over twice before, on boys holidays with mates - hence only ever stayed in hotels, and booked car and flights separately.

Don't really like the idea of hotels with family, and would much rather have a homely feel.

I'm after a nice villa in Orlando (Kissimee?) to sleep 7 (2 adults, 5 kids), which must have a private pool - to relax around on the evening - can anyone recommend one from experience???

Thanks

Think the OP has misread the description the £527 suite is a 3star in a 5 storey hotel! Still a good price though

Flights with Virgin for 7 - 21/8 from Manchester are a staggering £2992

Cheaper to book this and then book your own villa direct instead of staying in the hotel!!!
#21
i guess its not going to work for london

It does but the savings are not quite so large as the Manchester departures - typically £850-£900 discount on a family of 4.
#23
Looks like a great deal!

Bear in mind, hotels in that area are dirt cheap due to the competition, and you're probably gonna be stuck in 1 room/suite together, so they save a lot on the price be shoehorning you all in.

Average cost, bearing in mind the strong pound, is about £30 a night when bought seperately in those hotel chains.

Still, a good airline for those costs!

We're going to risk it with Globespan from Glasgow in September, flying with 2 weeks car hire (all insurance paid in advance) for £900 for the two of us, with upgrades. Driving around a lot however, so it's very different holiday altogether!
#24
sure virgin do price guarantees too
#25
dont forget quidco too
#26
This is an amazing spot, great price! I could kiss you! I have priced this up in august, 2 adults, and 2 children staying in Disney's Pop Century for 7 nights for £1800 including car hire! The same deal on virgin’s website is £3390!
We were going to book Spain but for the same dates we can go to Disney for £400 more.
We were going to wait until next year as we went last November and we have only just come back from Dominican Republic but I cannot resist a bargain!
Now just need to save the extra money for the mall!
Thank you x

No, I think you can also find cheap dates in July and October - try some combinations. But I think flying from Manchester is the key.
#29

#30
hi there we're going in april 2008 any good flight only deals then?
#31
We want to fly out on the 18th August 2 adults 2 kids for 2 weeks. Anyone found anything good for those dates, most of the flights shown had stop overs and we would only go direct.
#32
thanks very much for this, have booked 1 aug 2 weeks flight and car (7 seater) for 2 adults and 4 children, price £2345, a bargain for virgin flights and the time of year, now looking to book a villa. However, have now checked expedia site again and the have now increase their prices, so hope they will honour my booked hol.

thanks

i searched package holidays and got the cheap prices mentioned. it depends on the days you are booking. cheapest seems to be fridays, and with 2 kids sharing a room with 2 adults. kids age can be upto 18.
try 3 aug return 17 aug, you get the cheap prices that day. go a day before its £600 more.
its a great deal if you can go.

Any recommendations for the hotel? Did you book the flight + hotel or flight + hotel + car. When I try to book the flight + hotel + car the discount disappears
