With a recent holiday I was trying to find a good deal on Gin. Not a huge fan of Gordons. I believe Bombay Sapphire has the best 'bang for the buck'. Been checking all the supermarkets (currently lowest £22 a litre before vouchers / discounts), online websites and duty free at Gatwick Airport (deal 2 x 1 ltr for £36).

I was surprised to see that the on - board prices undercut all other prices. Just asked for 2 1 Litre bottles of Bombay Sapphire to be reserved and paid on debit card with no charge.

They also have a deal on other spirits detailed on page 78-79 of their Emporium magazine.

1 ltr Gordons London Dry Gin - £12
1 ltr Captain Morgan Spiced Rum - £12
1 ltr Bacardi Rum - £12
500 ml Jack Daniels Bourbon - £11
1 ltr Smirnoff Lime Vodka - £12
1 ltr Smirnoff Blue Vodka - £12
1 ltr Bell's Whiskey - £12
1 ltr Three Barrel's VSOP Brandy - £12

All listed 2 for £20.

Just a shame you have to fly with Thomas Cook, they have the most uncomfortable seats I've ever sat in.

Sorry I didn't get your email. As I said, I only posted because it is much cheaper than what else is offered I thought it might help someone.

trying to make a deal out of duty free (with you have to get a flight for kinda defeats the point of a deal, atless until supermarkets start charging you money to go thu they doors) ofc its cheaper, so are the places you would be going to on the flight, maybe i should post deals that poland / russia has £5 a litre vokda or belguim has 1 litre whiskey for £10, tho ofc the cost of going and the limits on what you can bring back out way the saving,

infect if stopped with your 2 for £20 1 liters, you would have to pay full duty on one from all non EU limits are 1 litre so not really a saving, and since the airline have a list of who brought what they most likely send it right on the customs, for the 2 for £20 deal is not a deal *edited since remembered as gluke said to get duty free *real duty free not what the airports in the uk claim is duty free* you have to leave EU airspace before i had listed EU limits but these wont apply so edited

--

tho currently morrisons has bells 1 litre for £15 so total cost until supermarket do charge to work thu they doors, is a lot cheaper,

for the rest i dont care to find cheaper in the uk, since i only drink whiskey, the rest of you can google or just my supermarket X)

If it's duty free then you have
to leave EU airspace to buy.

Jack Daniels is not a Bourbon, its a Tennessee Whiskey, also, Bells is a Whisky, not a Whiskey.

I got a 1.5 litre bottle of Appletons Estate rum when I went to Jamaica for under £10, maybe I should post it as a 'deal' because I don't think you could buy it cheaper anywhere else....hmmm maybe I won't post it.

im guessing the list is from an in flight list most likely to the usa, with both would be right (for where from anyways),

most whiskeys are bourbon in the us, and most whiskys are whiskeys, most people also think you can go internal flights without needing a passport, most people are also mentally challenged but thats not the point

in this case cos its very very pointless

get a international fight for £199 min (i guess) save maybe £10 on brooze, and not beable to load up lots since A you have a limit of 1 litre (witch true no one sticks to but since your buying on the plane they might auto report to customs for large amounts or even small amounts if they dont like you), so a good chance to get stopped going thu and have to pay full duty on anything over the 1 litre) B you have to buy on the plane so limited room and if you want to add to your stored luggage no doubt extra costs *and would have to be brought on the outgoing flight so go thu customs 3 times 2 the outgoing airport one the returning one* and the same problem with A, and even C bulk buying and storing in luggage unless well packed would just be broken glass and brooze smelling luggage and again we go back to A , so the total cost is going to out way any saving from going down to morrisons who atm have most 1 litres for £15 (not the special normally over priced brands JD bombay) unless your buying like 100 litres at a weight of 220 kg or more witch i thing would just get you changed a lot of extra duty and luggage fees therefor be re.arded in the most special way

tho i really dont get the cold hate votes on some things that atless make a little sense like cheap iceland deal or cheap ipad or things that are sane by not to everyone taste), but this makes no sense to anyone, if your travelling anyways you know to get duty free
