Nope my friend use to get 25% I believe? 40% sounds very unlikely... I heard it was going up to 30 though.

Used to work for Waterstones and we'd get 20% off HMV stuff, sales or not. No idea if direct HMV employees got more of a discount, because we'd get 33% at Waterstones whereas they'd get 20% so might have been reciprocal.

That's actually a great deal in itself and v.useful to know, especially seeing I have HMV vouchers gathering dust. Little difference in price for someone who may need them straight away too.
