I agree i orderd one from these guys only took 10 days from hong kong
#3
Cheers Aidy12 - Just ordered this and a Wii component cable for total of £10.50 - great deal!

anyone had experience with this model? heard some horror stories of some battery packs breaking the wii motes and at 30 quid each i'd rather avoid that. I have the joytech powerstation for my first 2 remotes but reluctant to get another one as they're powered by intercepting the main wii power and i'm not sure you can stack 2 of them up to charge 4 controllers. Does anyone know if you can just buy the joytech battery packs?

Sorry to say some people vote cold because they can.

excellent price. voted hot.

I've got one of these and they definately do the job. Only downside is they do take a while to charge from flat.

A little off topic maybe, but my remotes seem to run the batteries (standard and rechargeable) down while not in use. For example i charged them to full on the 3rd November, haven't used them until Sunday and the battery level was shown at 1 bar! Does anyone else have this problem, is it normal? This is the reason i've gone for rechargables, everytime i went to use it the batteries were dead! :? :-(

I've got one of these and the wiimotes don't quite seem to fit properly. They charge OK, but it's one of those little annoying things:-(

Oh and if you have the silicon jackets for them, you'll need to cut a hole in them or take them off to charge.

Other than that, a good price.

just what I need, thanks

Says it is free.

Anymore info on the charging station and the company?

I nearly ordered the Niko one from Videogames+.

Thanks

i've used some of these before, can't remember the names, but they never worked properly, maybe i've just been unlucky

i've ended up using rechargeable batteries instead (high powered ones), not as much hassle as i thought, and i always leave some in the charger in case

not a problem...

but that's just me, good price though

Lots of bits and bobs on this site!!!

It's like a dream come true.

Heat and rep added, £10.50 for a component cable and a charging dock, awesome value!
#21
I love the fact that even the accessory producers can't even get hold of 2 wiimotes for their photographs!

It's quite normal - the Wiimote continues to try and communicate with the Wii when the Wii is switched off. I just take out one battery from mine if I don't anticipate using it for a while (it's slightly easier than taking out both batteries :) )

Another compulsive purchase! Cheers for the link :w00t:

As far as delivery etc is concerned I bought some R4DS cards from deal extreme . The postage was free and they arrived from HongKong in less than 2 weeks .

I can confirm this charging station does allow you to keep the straps on while charging :) The blue light in the base can be switched off at the back but obviously the red/blue charging indicators stay on while there's a remote in the dock.

I've found it occasionally says it's finished charging when it hasn't; if you take a remote off and put it back on it goes red again, but once you've done that and left it a few hours it will charge fully and give you just as much play time as bog standard batteries will.

The fit of the battery packs isn't perfect (this is cheap Chinese plastic after all!), but if you use the official Wiimote Jackets it isn't a problem. It's USB powered but you can also use a regular mains 5V DC charger if you have the mini-jack to fit ;-)

As for the company I've never had trouble from them, every order I've ever made has arrived in less than 10 days! The package (recorded signed for) is always marked as a gift and valued at 45HKD, so there's nothing to worry about from customs.

Cheers, been lurking for aaages but felt it was time to give my opinion on something I've bought instead of just taking up all the good deals and not giving back :giggle:

import tax likely on these badboys ???

anyone past experience with these guys ?

still looking for that nyko 4 joypad ps3 charger with free postage. cant justify spending £25 on something that just "tidies" up what i've currently got.
#32
There would be not import tax, as it is under £18.

Anyway, DX put HK$35 or HK$45 on their orders (just 3 or 4 pounds), and so you would likely get away with spending >£18 at a time
#33
DX are very cheeky in labelling the packages for customs, my first order from them was quite bulky and over £20 but the label only listed LED keychain thingies as the contents ;-)
#34
right im going to give this a go. see what other **** i can buy as well lol
#35
has anyone received there orders i've had a email saying that they still have not shipped mine and i ordered ages ago ?
#36
Since being alerted to DealExtreme via this thread I have made 5 orders with them.

The first one which included these and 2x Wii Remote and Nunchucks is the only order left outstanding. They have sent everything in my orders apart from these charging stations. Everytime it gets to the send date it goes back 2 days.

Just a word of warning, don't use the EMS shipping option (I used it on my first order as the value meant I could get it for £3). My 2nd order was shipped 3 days AFTER my first order via regular mail and got here 1 day earlier. So, it's not worth it. It was on stasus 'left country of origin' for 9 days on the ParcelForce website.

I've ordered countless stuff off them including:

2x Wii Remote and Nunchucks.
Lots of PSP Slim cases
A NDS Lite Case
NDS Stylus
PSP Bag
PSP Battery
Mini Card Reader
XBOX 360 Fan
XBOX 360 Battery packs.
Little Mario Keychains

So I am very pleased that the only thing I'm missing are these chargers - which is ironic since it is why I ordered in the first place.

Hope they send them soon, I have 4 Wii remotes now with Christmas coming up.
