completely different product and thats 1 for £1.... whats your point
True, but they're usually pretty crappy, in terms of both sound quality and comfort.

But they give you the headphones and this connector.
So you use your own headphones.
Exactly I've seen these before and they confused me immensely then. Ive flown BA, Virgin, Korean, Cathay, Quantus and my standard iPod earphones always fit in fine.... What airlines actually require these ?
Also they always give out headphones anyway!! I just dont get this

I don't get it either. I've flown for years (Virgin Atlantic, BA, KLM, Air France, Varig, etc) and - although these adaptors come with the various noise-cancelling headphones I travel with - I've yet to find an airline where these could be used. But, like a fool, I keep travelling with one in my 'phones bag!
And they used to charge a premium on the flight for them.

13 hour flight to vietnam this year with malaysian airlines, they gave out cheapo headphones but if you wanted to use your own you needed one of these convertors, unless you wanted the sound only in one ear, no convertors available onboard but luckily i always carry a convertor just incase
