Yes you have read it right. I went into Tesco this morning and they have reduced The Indian Meal for 2 Tikka & Korma from £6.50 to £3.00.

One scanned at £3.00 and the other £6.50. I went to Customer services so they gave me back Double the difference so I got £7.00 back.

The female said that they are both identical, however different barcodes...

Sorry but how does someones mistake make a deal? What are the chances of it being repeated?

So this isn't a BOGOF offer but I have to go to the display and sort through the packs to ensure I get 2 different barcodes and at the till IF 2 different prices show I have to go to the Customer services to get a refund.

If they have now corrected the barcode anomaly I will have to pay £6.

This isn't a deal, it's a lottery.

Thanks for posting this, as I always appreciate the chance to take advantage of the Tesco DTD policy.

However, you say:
'One scanned at £3.00 and the other £6.50. I went to Customer services so they gave me back Double the difference so I got £7.00 back'.
Therefore, you paid £9.50 for the two curries and got £7.00 back. I make this that you ended up actually paying £2.50 for the two curries. A good deal, but not the same as getting paid £1.00.
