2 x Number Plate Reflectors £1.00 @ Poundland

Not for use on Public roads.

These number plate relectors prevent your number from being read by any photographic equipment and are ideal if you are planning on taking pictures of your car when selling it or are exhibiting it at a show.

Under no circumstances should they be used to avoid SPEED CAMERAS ;-) ;-)

OOh how handy buy these for a quid then get caught using them and get a fine and points on your licence, how about you just stick to the speed limits instead?
#2
PMSL, what a load of Bs.

If thats the case poster, why dont we just edit the image in photoshop or something similar?
#3
Does nobody watch Mythbusters? These dont even work!!
#4
they were demoing these at a motorshow and they din`t let us use our digital cameras to prove they did / didn`t work lol the guy got very cross as we kept trying

+1.

Plus speed limits are there for a reason - to stop people being killed.
#6
Do you know what you'd get in less trouble taking your number plates off than using these FACT !!!!
#7
Surely if you're selling your car you want the numbers to be visible, otherwise what is to stop you passing off another persons prize possession as your rust bucket.

i think they are a good idea, simpler for me to buy these than faff around with photoshop.
#9
Handy for sticking to other peoples cars though when they block your driveway.

They don't work, that's why you shouldn't use them to avoid speed cameras.
It's not just speed cameras you have to worry about, If you're caught by Plod using ANPR you won't just get 3 points and a £60 ticket.

There is the suggestion that ne'er-do-wells intending to clone number-plates browse car sale sites looking for vehicles the same model and colour as the one whose identity they want to pass off as their own for speeding ticket, congestion charge avoidance etc. So some people might think it a good idea to hide the reg of their car in on-line pictures.

In my experience though advertised cars that hide their reg's always seem to smell a bit "fishy" and the seller always seems very keen to talk and really "sell" the car before you have a chance to do any background checks on it.

if they're magnetic they'd fly off at any speed over 40mph anyway, don't think anyone's thick enough to try and speed with these on and anyway speed isn't the problem, large relative speeds are, people who think driving 20mph beneath the limit in the middle lane are just as problematic for the rest of us

What's wrong with using sticky tape and a bit of paper, simpler than faffing around going to a one pound shop.

pathetic i know its monday but lighten up you fools

I tell you another thing that's a waste of money, these GPS speed camera finders, such as Road Angel, snooper etc

First off I'm not a nob head who goes around speeding but I wanted one because they are everywhere in Blackpool/Preston and until you get used to them being there you kinda forget it you drift over upto 40 (dont lie we've all done it), so I bought a road angel, cracking little gadget, however what's not cracking is paying £4 per month for blooody updates, you might aswell get caught speeding as it's just under £50 per year for the subs.

I think the speed camera people came up with the idea in the first place and thought I know we'll screw the motorists even more.

These plates are Pointless btw, don't work, can be spotted by a mile away.

It's getting a bit chilly in here, I'm putting my coat on :p

I've found a better solution to all those camera's ;)

Now that is a superb idea

I did see a car with one of these on Police Camera Action, the police followed the car and your could not see it's number plate on the dash camera so it did work! Then they were pulled over and fined!
#25
nowt but screw the motorist.,... speed is one on the least factors in accidents
maybe better to educate the numptys who cross willy nilly and parents who of kids who dont know how a pelican crossing works..You dont do a train driver...as you should not be crossing lines .... blame the *&^$ jaywalkers !

30 mph was invented 40 years ago, cars have better brakes now

Yes but quite clearly people are bigger idiots now.

Couldn't you just stick these all over your car and make the whole thing invisible. That would be so cool. You could leave your number plates uncovered and they would look as if they were floating in thin air and you'd be legal too. :giggle:

useful if they worked picking up from the airport on carpark cameras just before you drive in.

I drove into Mcd's (gatwick) when i got there and got a coffee/burger, waited 20 mins for mum to call, went and got her and went back in for a coffee for her on the way out.

60 quid fine for 2 entries to the bloody carpark within 2 hours....

Saw same rip off when i went to mcd's near wembley stadium. Luckily, someone had put duck tape on a bit of my no plate in the petrol station opposite before i drove in......

then they moved it to the back before I drove out....

then it fell off 10 yards up the road....

Odd that, If I catch them...... :whistling:
#35
i know the original poster put this up for for the right reasons but ***** WILL buy these and think its a licence to be a **** and then let my **** insurance company put up my twatting premiums. *****....
suspended#36
Saw one of the Cop TV programs where they nicked someone for having these.....

They had soon detected them...

If the speed limit was 90mph instead of 30 mph you'd still get some knob driving at 110 mph lol
