Great little deal this one.

Argos are currently the cheapest for Virtua Tennis so 2 copies for £35 is an absolute steal - Anybody know if Blockbuster are still taking this as a trade in against top 10 titles + £9.99?

Also you can combine most of the titles with Xploder cheats system and get that 1/2 price.

Voted hot :)

ufortunately for me, there is nothing in that list i want, i have 7 of those games and if you hut around, you can get most cheaper anyway.

HOWEVER that is online and as argos you can nip in buy the stuff and get them home right away, it is probably the cheapest deals in a real shop at the moment.

because of that it gets a little bit of the hot treatment.

Dont buy these thinking they are the cheapest around. here's the cheapest online price for each of these titles, Aslong as you can wait for delivery...

Fifa 07 - £17.99 @BlahDVD.com
Need For Speed: Carbon - £14.99 @ShopTo.com
Moto GP 06 - £14.49 @PowerPlayDirect.com
Wold Snooker Champ 07 - £19.99 @ShopTo.net
WWE Smackdown 07 - £13.00 @ShopTo.net
Test Drive Unlimited - £17.99 @Play.com
Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter - £12.50 @DVD.co.uk
Lego Star Wars - £17.95 @DVD.co.uk
FarCry Instincts: Predator - £8.99 @SoftUK.com (free delivery codes are available, or £1.49 without code).
Virtua Tennis 3 - £33.85 @SoftUK.com (free delivery codes are available, or £1.49 without code).
Sonic - £17.99 @Play.com
Oblivion Elder scrolls - £16.97 @Asda.co.uk
Viva Pinata - £17.99 @DVD.co.uk
Rainbow Six: Vegas - £17.99 @Play.com
Call Of Duty 2 - £17.99 @ChoicesUK.com
Hitman: Blood Money - £12.95 @TheGameCollection.net
Pro Evo 6 - £14.99 @DVD.co.uk
Fuzion Frenzy 2 - £14.99 @ShopTo.net
Project Gotham Racing 3 - £17.99 @DVD.co.uk

So whilst on some of these titles it will make sense to buy them from argos in this offer, most will be cheaper if you buy them from two seperate companies.

If you were after WWE + FarCry for example, you could get them for just £21.99 instead of £35. but the Virtua Tennis offer is good as mentioned.
Hope this helps, and I didn't mean to step on your toes Herby247

Just called to check and yes, Virtua Tennis is on their list for trade in against a top 10 title + £9.99. Alternatively store credit of £26 available on this one.

Hmmmmm....;-)

The main reason to go for this offer is Viva Pinata, Snooker and Virtua Tennis, so for those games it's a fab offer, as well as any of the £17.99 games, as it works out cheaper and you can just go into the store and pick them up instead of waiting.

might get virtua tennis and trade it in at blockbuster

EDIT - no virtua tennis in stock near me

That 360 deal is looking mighty fine :-D

it looks like a virtua tennis trip will be had and then a cheeky trip to blockbusters as i want the darkness and a couple new games coming out in the next month.

£35 for £52 credit??hmmmm

the only problem is, how much are games at blockbusters? is it worth the credit or doing the swap and £10 now and then doing the swap and £10 in 1 months time when new games come out?

Maybe someone would be willing to get some extra copies and you can reimburse them for the shipping. :)

Don't Argos have any available for delivery for you?
#16
if you do the trades in blockbuster with V. Tennis that means you gonna get the £10 game for £27.50. if you trading in one game.

Its a shame that fear aint in the deal, coz I want COD 2 & fear.

Tried to order for home delivery but out of stock so they must deliver from the nearest warehouse to your location rather than having one central warehouse

Is everyuone sure that this is Virtua Tennis 3? Herb states Virtua Tennis in his list above, yet Virtua Tennis 3 is the one that's in the charts at Blockbusters.

You could buy Fear for £19.99 + 4% cashback (19.19 after cashback) from Shopto anyway, so if you really want COD 2, then you could get that and Virtua tennis 3, then swap the latter for an extra tenner for any of the newest games.

That way, you'll have your COD 2, FEAR and any new game for a total of £64.99 and 80p Quidco.

Hope that helps. :)

Thanks guys, I thought it strange that there was no Virtua Tennis 2. What put me off was there being 2 entries on the site at 2 different prices (£25 and £38).
However, it's all in vein anyway, as my local stores have none in stock.
#25
THE 38 ONE is a jersey item they have their own amazon.com kinda operation on certain chart titles

have checked 35 stores in nw for virtua tennis and 0 stock!!!

if you add virtua tennis to your basket first then any 2nd game it shows up as being £10.01,

now try to reserve them and the vitua tennis out of stock wont reserve, but on the reservation it still shows as being £10.01 for the 2nd game..... will they honour this?
#30
The price you pay is the price in store, so if your only getting one I expect you'll have to pay full price.

it is dirty but sometimes you need to get a little dirty ( well thats what i tell the mrs).

as i am off to pick up my 2 virtua tennis tomorrow i will also reserve a couple games with virtua tennis so it comes up as a couple £10 games.

if this works i will phone my mrs up at home and get her to order several games and i will write the reserve codes down while in the shop and pick them up.

i went for 2 rainbow 6 las vegas at £10.01 each as they still go for £20 on flea bay.

oh and some stores have virtua tennis but only 1 copy so try again but only select 1 virtua tennis

I doubt it, I thought I would look but noticed this message. Now that would have been a great deal.

This reservation relates to the item(s) only, not the price. The item(s) have not been paid for and the price you pay is the price valid in store when the goods are collected. This may result in the price being different, for example after a promotion that was valid at the time the goods were reserved has ended. Please take your reservation number to the store as you will need it to collect your item

With the amount of 3 red light problems with NEW 360s, i d be VERY reluctant to buy a used 360!
Dont forget if you buy a new 360, microsoft have put a THREE year warranty on it from date of purchase, if you get the dreaded 3 red lights which is a hardware failure.
So basically if you buy a NEW 360 today your covered till july 28th 2010 if you get the 3 red lights, i am not sure this is true if you buy a USED 360!

yeah, but the total cost will be £27.50

i.e 2 for £35 = £17.50 per game, take one to block buster for the £10 new release deal and total cost is £27.50. £17.50 for the one game you just brought to trade in plus the £10 you have to add.

Does anybody know how long V. Tennis will be in this deal at blockbuster ? because if I get it I might play it for a week or so, or would that be too risky as I wouldnt wanna keep it

well as the xbox 360 is not 3 years old i am guessing that ANY which have the 3 red lights will be replaced, receipt or no receipt. it has a made on date on the bottom of the xbox360 and as i say, it isnt 3 years old anyway.

maybe me and all the poeple i know with them have just been lucky as none of us have had anything go wrong with our machines ( apart from 1 who tried to install the extreme firmware and bricked his machine). there are about 20 people at work i know who have an xbox 360 and no faulty ones.

might be worth trying it and calling up the reservation number at the touch screen credit card thingy, no loss or embaressment if it comes up full price then :whistling:

That's because Virtua Tennis and Virtua Tennis 2 were on the Dreamcast, Virtua Tennis was also released on PC and Virtua Tennis 2 on PS2 - as well as Virtua Tennis World Tour on PSP (another one is due soon I think). All the games (1, 2 and 3) have been released in the arcade.
#39
I don't understand why people are talking about the xbox 360 bundle, it's rubbish, nearly everywhere offers it with 2 free games and it's brand new.

You can even get new bundles at a lower price than that and Choicesuk offered it with Gears of War, Crackdown, PGR 3, Live Arcade and an extra wireless controller for £299.99 for the last 5 months.
