The Race of Champions is one of the most spectacular events in world motorsport. It's where the best drivers from Formula 1, world rallying, touring cars and NASCAR go head-to-head with each other as they fight to prove who is the "Champion of Champions." And, taking place on a specially-built tarmac circuit that covers the hallowed turf of Wembley Stadium, there's no better venue.
Seven-times F1 World Champion Michael Schumacher and Toro Rosso F1 racer Sebastian Vettel are the first drivers to be confirmed for the December 14 event where the two Germans will return to fight to retain the ROC Nations Cup they won last year. And for Schumacher, who was runner-up in last year's Race of Champions, he'll be extra-keen to go one place better in 2008.
More stars are still to be announced but, with previous entrants including Sebastien Loeb, Jenson Button, David Coulthard and Valentino Rossi, it really is the one and only event where you can see the top stars from the world's major motorsport series compete on identical terms.
Tickets for the event are available from the official site via Ticketmaster and Autosport in association with TicketSwitch. The 'trick' is available via the Autosport box office link and is only applicable for Category 1 (£75 + £4 fee) & Category 2 (£55 + £3.50 fee) tickets.
If you're looking for the cheaper tickets without the discount (Category 3 - £35 & Category 4 - £18) then go via the Ticketmaster link. These tickets are higher up the tier of seating and further away from the action.
Click on the "Book Now" button, select the number of tickets required, select Special Delivery (£4.95), and then the category of ticket, click "Proceed". You'll then be offered the ticket types - "Regular Price, Child Under 15 (50% discount), and Special Offer Ticket (20% discount)". Choose Special Offer instead of Regular! Click "Proceed" and then you will prompted to enter the rest of your details including payment via a secure transaction.
