seems cheap .. but dual suspension on a kids bike seems unnecessary and I think will only add to the overall weight of the bike....

That's true also the give in the suspension adds to the pedalling effort required and it applies to adult bikes too for most riders.

I only ride on roads, tracks and bridleways, I don't do any of this steep hill muddy stuff so I would always avoid suspension and mountain style bikes in general. Even more so for little children.

Still looks like a deal though, because the kids like to have all the gizmos.

+1 on what androoski says..
a £40 dual suspension bike is going to be horrible heavy and not very good.
And unless the box is ambiguous and it means 20" wheels and not a 20" frame then this is most definately not a Childs bike.
20" is very tall for a mountain bike frame. The measurement should be form the underside of the bottom bracket to the seat post.
Jodie kidd sized girsl for this one.

I know that my 8 year old daughter would love a bike like this, but when I rang Tesco CS they couldn't locate one anywhere in the South West... has anyone seen one in their local store?

It's a childs bike, it's not for climbing mountains. It is very likely the 20" refers to the wheel size. Any more stupid comments from "experts"?

Oh, it's a childs bike is it? I hadn't noticed. I thought 20 inch pink £40 bikes were serious compeition downhill bikes. FFS.

What style of childs bike is it?
