Was trading in some games and gamestation in newcastle city center and had an extra 20% on games being traded in. worth it if you have old games that arent worth.

Game also have the same on until the 24th I think.

I don't trade in games anymore though. The last time I did was LOTR The Two Towers on PS2 when it retailed at £40. Haven't bothered since then as the trade in price isn't worth the effort and the shop is (generally) more expensive than online.

Why would you vote 20% extra trade in cold? I understand that the trade in value is generally poor but for anyone who was contemplating a trade this is good news and as good a time as any.

Give them some feedback. Explain why it is cold. Encourage all the HUKD community to post deals rather than relying on the same core group.

Or is this another example of putting a limited poster in their place?

Game trading is ruining the industry, especially smaller developers who won't get any revenue from the trade ins

Who the hell cares!?!?! You could apply the same daft logic to cars, why dont we enforce all cars over 1yr should be crushed at the owners expense and then you have to buy a new car, that might help the auto industry

traded some stuff in today prices were still rubbish, no where near c.e.x trade midnight club for £11 , gamestation offered £6. They offered £6 for super smash bros brawl on the wii , cex was more than that cash.

got £18 quid for batman on 360 after only getting offered £10 most places. Great deal

They can't lose, they give you a pittance for the games you trade in and then charge you top dollar for anything you buy. Far better selling on ebay and then purchasing from an online store.

true, but i like to wait with the store credit for days they start giving stuff away like when got rid of hd dvds and the blu ray clearance they had.

its a lot easier to take my unboxed console with no manuals down to game and get a few quid instantly than worry about ebay and postage and all that rubbish.

Really? Its easier for most people to drive into town or to the nearest shopping centre rather than spend 5 minutes tops to list it on ebay?

Yeah its definately easier trading instore for instant cash or credit than ebay. You havent got to worry about packing the item nicely then working out postage fees and then waiting for people to pay you and all the fees etc.. Just walk in the shop give them your stuff and bobs your uncle

I Agree. once listed. you still gotta arrange delivery and play the waiting game and hope you have sold your item to a decent person.
