I suggest people have a look at the picture quality before buying one of these. Not sure about this exact model, but saw a 32" Polaroid in pcw for £249 a few weeks back and the picture quality was really really bad. It wasn't the feed either as there was a samsung next to it which had a decent picture and got them to swop the feed over and was just the same. Not voting hot or cold as this might have a decent picture, but personally would expect a 32" with a retail price (before reduction) of £449 to be slightly better quality than this.

Also worth remembering its only £179 on Amazon for a brand new one.

I have found a couple of reviews and they say the picture is very good. I will keep looking to see if i can find anymore details on the quality.
I have ordered one myself and will hopefully get it tomorrow so i will be able to tell you how good the picture is then.

I have found a couple of reviews and they say the picture is very good, also as it states new i can only assume that it will be new, but i have sent them an email to ask Bigpockects to confirm this.

Bigpockets
Please Note: Even though the majority of this stock is Brand New stock from a major European distributor which has to liquidate their stock due to the credit crunch we are selling these as Polaroid LCD TV’s as “Grade A” Refurbished Please note all products in this promo come with a full 12-month warranty. For a definition of Grade A refurb please refer to the botttom of this post.

I wouldn't expect a brand new one from them

It's worth spending £30 more for a new set with amazon warranty. Bigpocket doesn't state whether it is a RTB warranty or collect & return. Could be expensive when you have problems. Also 8ms refresh rate means you will get ghosting with fast moving objects (sport, Matrix, etc.)

Argos has a full range of 19" LCD TVs between £129 and £169. Easy to collect and 12 months money-back guarantee if anything goes wrong. Can't beat that Bigpockets.

I ordered a grade A monitor from bigpockets a few months back and was really happy with it as it WAS like new. So i would expect that these TV's would be in a similar condition also there is a 12 month warranty included.

I am sure people will use their heads and look up reviews on this tv before buying as I did. I still think at this price it is a fantastic deal.

At the last look they had 185 left in stock, so if you think this is for you snap one up! :)

For the money you pay its a good deal. Obviously there are better models on the market and yes it may not be the best for watching sports but for the price it will make me a great bedroom tv.

This isn't really comparable with 19" tvs or monitors - they tend to have a 1280x1024 or 1280x800 resolution, this has a 1680x1050 resolution so a significantly sharper picture when used as a monitor or HD device. Good connectivity, seems a decent enough price if you are happy to not get a brand new model.

This is not true, anything under 16ms is usually accepted as a 'good' respopnse time for either gaming or fast moving images with LCD TV. My Samsung has a response time of 8ms and has no 'ghosting' effects when gaming or watching fast moving images i.e. The Matrix.

The human eye can detect a response time of about 14ms and being as this Polaroid LCD is well below 14ms i.e. 8ms there is nothing to worry about.

Ordered, great bargain.

Arrived yesterday in a sealed brand new condition, excellent picture and IDTV features. Plugged in my Sky box via RGB SCART and my Xbox 360 using the component and both work very well with this LCD. Great bargain!
