I have been looking for quite a while for the right TV for the bedroom and found this.

A great price for an HD ready TV.

Be forewarned - This model has no Component input - so no Wii 480p goodness for you.

I found this out to my cost and now have a white elephant sitting in the kids bedroom.

I'm not even sure you can call it HD Ready without component input.

That TV might be HD ready. Only thing being that you probably need to get an adapter for DVI to component. That's what I had to do with my Philips but luckily for me, it came supplied. Best to check the manual, it might mention it in there.

Not possible, the monitor has DVI-D digital input which can't accept an analogue Component signal.

It is possible to convert Component to VGA which you could input via the D-sub (HD-15) connector, but this will cost you £50 for the transcoder kit.

By the way, Xbox360 can connect to this monitor but you would need to fork out for a VGA or DVI cable to do so. Guessing at £15 - £20.

Hope this helps.

Double checked the UK/ PAL manual online and no mention whatsoever of Component capability through any of the connectors.

Their online Specification mentions it may be available on the Yank (NTSC) version instead of the UK/ PAL Scart input:-(
