I cant see why not - this appears to be a standard RJ45 connectivity. Should work perfectly.

You will never get as good a connection from wireless as you will from a cable. Used to have everything in my house on wireless and had nothing but problems, when I moved I cabled up everything and now it all works very reliably.
#15
Excellent, been looking for one of these to go from the study into my bedroom via the loft. thanks!

yes it will, more than adequate as your xbox doesnt have a gigabit newtork card so getting a cat6 cable is pointless from a speed perspective
i use cat 6 cables rather than 5e but only because short cables are about the same cost and i have a gigabit network, but i didnt bother with the xbox, just used a 5e cable as the xbox isnt gigabit enabled

or you could use some homeplugs...i use the netgear hdx101's and they are excellent....rarely a dropout/failure in 1 year, unlike the microsoft wireless adaptor that dropped out every 30 mins!

how do i connect my 360 to it? don't know anything about the technical side of it!
#21
People still using Cat5e? Tut!!

I wired my whole house in Cat6 now, an all Gigabyte LAN...:-D
#22
Hot. I personally prefer wired connections over Wi-Fi and this is great for that.
#23
Expensive, for a cable which are usually given for free in box of new routers anyway.

haha, not 20metres! You'd be lucky to get a 5 metre cable free w/ most routers!

Mine arrived today, they sent 10mtrs not 20mtrs - Not sure if this is a mistake .... we will see.
#32
Same me, they sent me a 10mtrs instead of 20! I think they ran out of 20mtr cables and are trying to pull a fast one.

Same here x 2. Not going to stand for that.
20m or they get them back along with the other items ordered at the same time.

Megamart.

I raised a dispute in paypal as I paid using paypal and they just responsed with:

"Apologies to hear that, we will send you the correct item and please don't worry about the other back "

If you paid using paypal, raise a dispute.

One thing I noticed is the network cable is very cheap flimsy looking. I've brought alot of belkin cables in the past and they are alot better quality but do cost a couple of quid more.

Interesting. I got a message back saying they are actually 20m cables, it just says 10m on the bag.

Anyone got a tape measure? ;-)

it doesnt look like 20m cables to me, definately 10m
#37
Yea, I got a 10m too.
Wonderful service....
#38
Got a 10m one as well. I've contacted them and if they BS me then I'll raise a paypal dispute.

Cat5e will do gigabit fine.

Yeah, just took delivery of 2 x 10M. That, however, doesn't make 20M. Have raised a paypal dispute, since they're obviously taking the p!ss.
