I've never been charged import duty with Play-Asia. Simply say you'd like it marked 'gift' in the comments section when ordering.

No, not for UK accounts. It would work on a UK machine with a US account though.

No restrictions...only thing is that under your gamertag it will say you live in usa...nothing different but that

You can set up a US live account on a UK machine with the "Hotmail US address trick" - can't find the link right now but it should show up with the right Google search.

Don't know about the lag.

Restrictions? Some US-only marketplace downloads are blocked when connecting from UK IP addresses. No big deal.

Ah i see. I was hoping to use the US marketplace since its much cheaper and bigger. Do they aslo stop you from downloading TV content etc.

Yes they block downloads of US TV shows and movies, anything that's not available here.

For the 360?

Some games are region locked which will only work on a machine from the same region as the game.

Many asia-region games are region-free (so they'll work on any 360) and in full English. Full list here:
http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-00-3-xbox360_compatibility_guide-49-en.html

Game content is pretty much the same (it has to be, for worldwide Live compatibilty although it's possible that some regional versions of certain games may be censored).

Box and manual artwork/text may differ.
#31
Only issue is that gamestation, game etc etc would not take foreign versions in as part exchange. So take that into consideration if you like to trade in

I think anything over £15 - £18 ish you meant to pay customs tax on and it varies depending what the item is.I've not ordered before from these so can't advise if worth having items sent seperately if you want a bit,as I don't know about their shipping costs etc.
I had some shoes once from eBay come from America and they worth $80 and I had to pay customs fee to release them from Royal Mail,I had £10 to pay so really about 25% of the value if you just consider $80 being worth around £40. Royal mail charged me a fee on top of taking the customs fee which was nearly as much as the customs tax in 1st place, and I paid cash too! However the shoes were worth it.I usually ask if sellers can mark as gift but for the shoes on their pages it said they don't take custom forms requests etc otherwise I don't have much bother paying customs tax on anything else I have had but they been low priced items.
