Did you request delivery between 5th and 18th March? Worth a call or email to them if they've made a mistake, they normally sort things out. You can always cancel and try again?
#8
yeah i ordered for 5th march and delivery stated free not the usual £5... i've cancelled for now..
#9
Only downside is a lot of the 1000 clubcard point vouchers expire on 4/3/07. But for those who don't bother with points anyway, then this is a cracking deal! :)

Me too, placed 2 orders both with 1000 points vouchers, showing at checkout as Free Delivery but email and order showing £5 delivery charge.

Will be contacting Mr T in due course.

The 20% discount is already applied to the prices then?

Yes, That's 20% or more discount.

Just ordered some Wolf Blass Presidents Selection Cab Sauv, good price at £50/case. This is normally £12-15/bottle:-D

When you think about it, if the free delivery and the code for a 1000 points stop or can't be used together, which ever you choose unless your spending £99 or more, their value is the same if you order this week for delivery between 5th March and 18th March.

Think about it!

Excluding clubcard voucher x4 deals

Ordered 24 bottles of plonk for £52 and it took a 1000 point code - delivery for March 10th.
Onscreen confirmation prior and after payment shows free delivery but email and my account show £5 charge. Hopefully a glitch and they will take correct payment - anyone phoned them up about this yet?

1 x Brown Brothers mixed case 6| £26.00
1 x Marques De Leon White Wine 75cl 6| £9.58
1 x Canaletto Pinot Grigio Garganega 6| £13.67
Delivery charge Free
Subtotal £49.25

I still had the Brown Brothers and Marques De Leon white in my basket from an earlier shop online that i didnt complete, im hoping they are still available at this price, i have received confirmation ( delivery charge showing though )
The 1000 points offer code worked.
#17
I've had the same problem with my order - say delivery free on the order but the confirmation email adds on the £5 delivery charge.

I phoned Tesco and they were unhelpfull. the guy said he was not aware of any free delivery offer (even though I said for him to look at the site!!) but as a ONE OFF!! - they will refund my delivery, but I have to phone up and claim it when my order arrives.:x
#18
I think they must have realised there is a problem and are updated the backend of the website at the moment. The delivery dates are stopping at 5th March at them moment.

The 1000 points seemed to work, however when i look at my account they're not there, do they come later??

They should be added the day your order is delivered ;)
#21
Ta, didn't get free delivery but v.happy with 1000 points :-)
#22
Thanks for this :-) Ordered 24 bottles, nice discount and lots of points!! Showing free delivery initially but at confirmation showing £5 delivery charged so will keep an eye on it and have a word if they charge me.
Voted hot!

Hate to tell you all this but even though the 1000 points goes through, if the delivery is after the expiry date you wont get the points.

I think I would rather pay delivery and use the 1000 points voucher while its still valid as its worth £10 or £40 in deals.

Hmm, I selected a "Free Delivery Date", and it was saying free right up until AFTER I had paid with my credit card.

Lagunilla Rioja Gran Reserva : 6 bottles : £45.00
Ancien Comte Fitou : 6 x 75 CL bottles : £22.74
Chateau Clos Renon 75cl : 6 x 750 ML bottles : £28.44

Sub-total of all items: £96.18
Delivery charge: £5.00
[Total promotions discount: - £0.01]
Order total £101.17

I would have added on a £4 bottle of something, maybe the 6 cheap small 25cl white wine bottles, and got free delivery at £100.

I'll definitely be contacting them about this, once I see it appear on my credit card bill.

Still, nice offer, and always good to get 1000 clubcard points.

I'll wait for the Wolf Blass President's Selection to drop back down to £6 a bottle like in November before buying it again, but it is very tasty.

As a follow-up, I rang Tesco and they said they're not charging the fiver delivery charge, but that will happen on the delivery date.
#26
I ordered £50+ yesterday inc 1000 points, with delivery 5th March, free delivery shown until after paying when it took the £5!!!!!

Surely if 1000 points expire 4Th March as mentioned (therefore won't be awarded) it would be better to pay delivery as 1000 points = £16?
#27
Put my order in for just over £50, claimed my 1000 points too, everything OK til everything was confirmed and then the £5 delivery charge appeared.
Have e mailed Tesco customer services and got the reply - the charge will not be taken (delivery is for the 6th)....so I will keep the message and should payment for delivery be taken - go back with that message and the reference number on it.

Same here, same email reply, it was rather apologetic.

Hi, kudos1uk, do you have some reasons to say so? Have you similar experience with tesco?

In my opinion, the voucher should work if the system of tesco allow people to choose delivery after 4 March and as well as to use the voucher code. If not, it's tesco's fault not customers'.

Why would you think you can use a voucher that states it must be used by 4th march?... the system will accept it now as it is in date now but nothing gets processed Tesco's end untill your order is picked on the day.. and when they try to put your code in it will decline it... it's like ordering an offer now for delivery in 2 weeks but the offer ends tomorrow... you probably wont get it!:whistling:

I think it's tesco's responsibility to check the validation of a voucher code including expiration date. It would be unfair that the system accepted the voucher when customers ordered but refused to apply it when delivered. Besides, a company should not expect customers to know the hidden rules, such as processing their orders when whether ordered or delivered.

Hi all, I've just received my (first!) wine order. On the delivery receipt it tells me I've earned 1051 clubcard points this visit.

Plus the total cost of shopping shows as £51.11 (no delivery charged)

Result!? :)

ps sorry the offer has expired, anyone reading this thread for the 1st time.

We ordered 3 cases of Hardy's Crest Chardonnay and used a £15 off £50 voucher with the free delivery deal and the confirmation email showed a charge for delivery.

When the order arrived yesterday there was no delivery charge on the paper work so the bottle price worked out to £2.95.

Cheers.
