Toying with buying one myself but can't decide if I buy Series 1 will I regret not buying the 2. Difference in price is silly. Although price is over the top anyway but when you want something X)

I'm in the same boat really. I don't think it's worth the extra £100, but if the Series 2 Stainless Steel was £399 that would be seriously tempting.

At moment I have Fitbit and works well but apple looks more like a Watch. Justifying it here (_;)

I am in the same situation too. Can't decide if I get series 1 or 2 too.

I'm thinking 1, as it's kind of waterproof I.e. Can wear it in the shower or bad weather. And the brightness thing isn't really that noticeable. Wanted a sapphire display, but you don't get one until you reach the £599 prices.

The Very deal is possibly a better option, £50 or 20% off if you're a new customer taking the credit option

Buy a series 2 from Apple. Try it for 14 days. Then return it for a refund if you don't think it's justified, and get the series 1.

I went from the first gen watch to a series 2 and to be honest I wish I'd saved a £100 and got a series 1 as I cant tell the difference in everyday use.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the only difference between the Series 1 and 2 is the slightly brighter screen, GPS and improved waterproofing. Personally I think that unless you're likely to use GPS it's probably not worth the extra money, since the processors inside are the same and the Series 1 (and 0) are both pretty waterproof anyway - certainly will handle a shower adeptly.

I have a series 0 with the Sapphire screen and I wouldn't personally trade it for a standard 1 or 2 as I like the peace of mind the scratch resistant screen brings. I don't use any apps at all though - other than stock ones like Alarm, Timer, Messages, Activity etc

Does it not then cost more using a credit option?

I was all over it when they first came out buying the 44mm one then wore it 3 months and been sat 9 just on charge. It's just the "im here , I'm here " thing, more so now I've started wearing again. It's had some update now telling you to breath every so often ..... like Jesus

That's so funny. I just like the pink one. How sad! Fitbit ones are not pretty but they do the job

Went into currys today to check out the difference between series 1 and 2 watches despite knowing from googling. Also hadn't seen one apart from photos. Spoke to young assistant who was wearing a series 1. Chatted a while and he ended by saying he only bought it as it was discounted so much (including his staff discount) and still thinks it was a waste of money! If it broke he wouldn't replace it. Came out more undecided than I went in. oO

I pulled the trigger on onr today. John Lewis price matched for me so I'll get the 2 year warranty.
