It's worth a try for £65.

I bought something yesterday, opened it, tried it, decided it was no better that what I was already using so I took it back.

Refunded without an issue even though it was obvious that it had been opened.

Why not re-buy and return the unopened one for the refund

i like your style
#12
can it be used with a staff discount as well?
#13
If you can buy online you could get another 6% cashback also.
Need to buy some real wood oak flooring, so 26% off would be a good saving.
#14
Great deal if you're planning a big project.

No you cannot have 2 transaction discounts.
#16
Would like some verification on this - possiable online only deal?

I can't see it being instore as they already have various % off promotions running instore i.e 15% off fencing and decking, 30% off all bedding plants. Plus the booklet of vouchers promotion is still running which has a 10% off a £50+ spend voucher in. Added to that it's Mothers Day on Sunday, which usually gives them good foot traffic anyhows.

If it is instore, (and i hope it is) then B&Q must be in financial troubles.

I know I am being pedantic but it would not be 26% off...

Just say you were spending £100 in store... 20% off then means it is £80, a further 6% off of that £80 means you are paying £75.20. So really you are only saving 24.8%

26% would mean you were paying £74 (£1.20 less)... as I said, sorry for being pedantic...

They would just say you can't use the vouchers with the promotion... as for the other promotions I would be very interested as some cupboard drawers/fronts were half price and I would love it if there was a further 20% knocked off as well.

just take it back, B&Q are very good for returns, just tell them you've changed your mind... simple

this could come in very handy, just got an insurance payout for a new kitchen & bathroom!

anyone know if this 20% is in ADDITION to the already reduced 50% off certain kitchen/bathroom pieces?

20% every day for you guys, this should also help with your bonuses :-D

Should return a shower i purchased today and repurchase it during the promotion

this will be on top of any ongoing instore promotions.however b&q do promotion and price changes on a thurs evening ready for friday opening.if something is half price on friday(for instance an electric drill or kitchen doors)then you will save a further 20% on the reduced price.they will use a swipe card on the till too take off the further 20%.it is likely it will be instore only and not online.hope this helps peoples understanding.b&q staff have a discount cardwhich entitles them too 20% off so in reality customers will be getting a staff discount this weekend
#24
if you want too rip b&q off then buy goods that are on half price plus further 20% off and when they go back upto full price return without receipt for a full price refund on a credit note. then use credit note too buy what you want but you have a credit note thats only cost you 40% of its value.for instance a drill full price was £100 and is reduced too £50 and you buy at weekend for £40. return drill after it goes back too full price unopened unwanted present and recieve a credit note for £100. do this a couple of times and you could end up with anything you want for 40% of its real price ha ha.

Refund policy has changed to stop this - no receipt = no refund.

return without reciept, yeah right, new refunds policy is no reciept no refund / credit note !!! the consumer rights are still protected but unfortunately dont cover you if you simply change your mind, be careful with this guys as its not a wise move and B&Q may stop you in your tracks if you try it.

this deal is going on and is on top of other offers that are running too, very good deal so take advantage as its a one off guys.

they say this offer will bring in 80% more cash than a normal friday-monday 4 day period so we bloody should get a bonus haha.

as long as your shower is unopened and you have your reciept you shouldnt have a problem. we have changed our returns policy and i know some stores are now really strict on returns. suppose it depends whos working at the time.

EDIT: we def wont get a bonus if people rip us off as the above comment says, hence why the policy has been changed

so long as theres a reciept i think they will be ok so long as its within the time period, worth doing.

hope it does bring in the 80% extra, cant figure where head office work this out but bonus seems nice :)

lol i used to work at head office and it was a matter of plucking figures out if thin air to which you think the board would agree. The last promotion like this was for 15% which the extra spend was disappointing, hence i guess the reason it's 20% this time........1 final push for the year end sales figures.

B&Q not in financial trouble? Are you sure about that? Only i'm one of a few hundred B&Q customer advisors that were made redundant in december as part of a cost cutting excercise.
They also got rid of millions of pounds worth of equipment used by staff in stores in a money saving move.

You're right, how are you meant to fix broken britain if B&Q go bust? :x

just this week i took something back, and they said they no longer offer credit notes... so beware
#35
brilliant !!

Homebase are doing 15% off this weekend with a voucher which seems to be in most magazines currently. B&Q simply doing their spoiling tactic as usual.

Sorry to be a kill joy but to attempt this would be fraud. Ok B&Q would probably not take any action unless it wa on a massive scale but i don't think people should be encouraged to do this.

You'll not go to heaven:whistling:
Seriously though, I'm all for putting one over the big stores but doing this is going to spoil future offers and discounts.
Plus, now you've mentioned it to 100,000 + money savers B&Q will cotton on and end this scam!

good deals for the summer season, i think they just have their summer displays out, cant see them being busy on sunday though

dont you have to give B&Q your postcode for a refund? i'm sure if you do and you try to return a number of items they will ''click on''. plus as above , if they do decide to go after you for the fraud it wouldnt be too good..

i took a drill back last year no receipt but was un opened , wouldnt give a refund in store i had to send a copy of my visa bill (paid on the card) to their head office ( they must have checked the till logs or something)and then they send a letter to me, i got the refund after about two weeks, so i wouldnt chance it to be honest

makes an interesting read:
