Jump to unread Post a CommentI missed the 20% off in Jan this year and thought I'd cost myself an extra £80 for the family of 4 ticket, but there you go, Good things come to those who wait !
Thanks for the post
Same here. One of clubcards worthwhile deals.
On the plus side, you beat the queues to get into attractions with a Merlin pass and get discount at all the shops and eating places, so you quickly reap the benefits.
Never seen them with 50% off that wud be fanatastic if they did that as were a family of 5!
We love theme parks and have visited them for many years....recently came back from a trip to Alton Towers and it was nothing short of a sham!! Every single ride with the exception of the runaway mine train broke down several times. Ok so we expected Thirteen to have some techical hitches being new....but it was a total joke!!! Whilst waiting in line Air, 13, Oblivion, Nemesis all broke down many times, Rita was barely running all day and even the rapids broke down on a boiling hot saturday.....it was a disgrace!! On returning I have spoken to others who had the same experience. Not sure if it is due to cutbacks in the maintenance budget or what but such a waste of a day...as it is the park is only open from 10-6pm (varies) not helped by spending unecessary hours in a queue for a ride that doesnt work.
Such a shame...it was such a sham!! :x

Next time that happens go to cust services at the park on your way out and complain about it.
Recently we travelled up from London and Thirteen wasn't working. When they eventually got it working late in the afternoon there was a 90 min queue so I complained that Thirteen was the main reason we'd come up, and the assistant gave me a priority pass for 6 rides (including thirteen) for 6 people for next time we come!!
And note I said 'priority pass', not 'fast-track', so you can jump the WHOLE queue and hop onto the ride through the exit - front seats all the way next time we go!! :-D
