What are 'mods', please? (As in '7-19 mods', '20+mods'.)

As far as I remember from my days working at Sainsburys 25 years ago, a 'mod' is basically a shelving unit. It describes how big the displays at individual stores can be.

Excellent. My headset broke at the weekend so will need to buy a new one at some point.
#14
is this going to be a case of 20% off the rrp or 20% off the normal price?

i.e. new xbox controller can be bought for about £30 but tesco price will be £49.99 minus 20%

anyone?

Unfortunately I bought my original Xbox 360 Arcade in November 2007 so the warranty is out. Glad it lasted for as long as it has though!

Happened to me and I called Microsoft and said I would really appreciate that they fix it or send out a new one as it is a known issue with the old hardware.

2 minutes later they agreed to send me packaging then a courier to have my xbox replaced.

Call them, they are very generous. They've even sent me free gifts!! AND for the inconvenience, they will send you a card giving you a month of Free Xbox Live Gold.

I still ended up getting the Halo Reach limited edition 250GB Slim though (gift from my lovely Mrs!!!)

Really, did they send your old one back + give you a new one?
May give it a try, do you happen have any phone numbers handy?
#26
U can do all that via their website ...even if its out of warrenty. They just send u a replacement xbox, (i think refurbished). Im on my 3rd xbox now, think i brought the first one around 2006?!?

And yeh, they usually give u a month of gold free for the inconvenience!
#27
Yeah you don't get your own Xbox back, yours goes into a queue to be repaired then gets put into a pile of ones to go back out.

Meanwhile, they send you one from that pile, instead of making you wait weeks for your own. My brother's 360 went to Germany and he got another back within a week.

They are thoroughly cleaned inside and out and any broken case parts are changed, his newOld one looked pristine.

mods actually refers to how many sections of selving a store has i,e, the bigger the store the more mods or room for stock :)
#30
oh yh from what i was told at work today this should be an online offer as well :)
#31
Neat, so a 250gb should be £159.20 plus quidco and CC points?
#32
What is the difference between the xlc and the x11 headset. Also is the silver controller much better? It's my oh birthday next week and I'm stuck what to get him. Would he appreciate this?

Yeah, as long as they don't put the current price up....

£200 atm.... so 20% = £40, so £160.

Contemplating whether or not to get kinect package or not? Is it any good, I have read on various sites that the games currently out for it are a bit rubbish and it's not worth getting at the moment?
#34
The price of Earforce X11's is £38 online, so with the 20% off will make it just over 30 quid. A right bargain I think! I wonder if they'll have a bigger selection online? Hopefully they'll have 20% off Earforce x41's.......
#35
Just called Xbox Support UK today and seems like they won't repair it for free, which was what I was expecting. Looks like I'm gonna have to buy another Xbox - the new one has better hardware anyway!
#36
It's only on the items that is on the list as it says selected lines, it's only to push sales since they haven't sold as much as expected over the last 2 months :)
#37
Is it based on the current prices or will they bump them up tomorrow?
#38
Looking forward to seeing the prices tomorrow! :3
#39
based on current prices bud
