Another 20 to add to the billions
in the landfiull sites. Use rechargeables.
#2
they are in my asda (doncaster) and gluke21 not every1 wants rechargeables hence the reason they still sell non-rechargeables
#3
Duracells good, but i have to agree with gluke21, why not spend say £20 on a very sufficient charger with batteries. Its re-useable, its better than spendin £7 on a one off pack isnt it...:/

Depends what you want them for. For things like remote controls and wireless computer mice, these last so long, it is not economical to buy rechargeables.

Sod all these Anti Battery comments.

Go on ebay and search for Procell - Much better.

I used to get these wholesale for £1.20 for a 4 pack.

So god knows what ASDA get them for, must make a massive margin when the sell them for normal price

Still a good price though

Still available in ASDA Luton 19 July. Didn't see any 2 x 4 for £5.

As for rechargeables, depending on type they have different voltages (for instance, straight NiCad are only 1.2V rather than 1.5V) and their power delivery/charge holding characteristics aren't suitable for all purposes. So use rechargeables where they're suitable, for the rest - these seem like quite a good deal.
