I've done it myself and i thought i can share this little tip with you...

I bought 2 2k7 games (nhl & nba) for 17.99 each from play.com and today i traded them receiving 54 pounds for both of them. So basically you can get 50 pound game for 35 plus 4 pound credit...

You can even try to go just for 2 copies of NBA 'cos you get more trading it in (28 pounds)

Nice post....I suspect Game will click onto this very very quickly though...

picture is slightly wrong as GAME for some unknown reason aren't selling Oblivion on PS3.

Sounds good but you can probably pick up most of the £50 games for not much over £35 online

Here's the Play.Com link you had in the original post: http://www.play.com/Games/PlayStation3/RNR/3-/1063380/NBA_2K7/Product.html

The picture is not really wrong. You can always go to GAME get a slip with the prices they offer you for those games and go to Gamestation and use their price match... that's exactly what i did.

Nice post considering there are not many ps3 posts

I like the way the direct link takes you to the "SMA Mum's Network"!

Buying items online and trading them instore is alot like playing the stick market, prices do go up as well as down.

Oblivion will not be available at Game for a few more weeks as the buying department screwed up. However this does mean if your willing to wait you should be able to pick-up preowned for £5 cheaper.

The best deals at Game can be found in the Hardware bundles they do.
E.g DS lite + Pokemon Mystery Diingeon = 104.99
Trade pokemon dungeon back in for store credit and get £14
Buy said Hardware on your Reward Card and get £2.50
Use that £16.50 to get something you really want.... (3yrs accidental damage?)

(Yes i work at Game, and at my store we use the above method to try and give a better unoffcial deal)

Indeed - when play hat that wierd PS3 game for 17.99 I got £30 for it in Gamesation. 1 week later they reduced trade in to £20...

yes the reason for this is because the publishers of the game are charging to much for GAME to purchase a load so they are discussing prices so once they agree on a selling price to buy in then game will be selling it hope this makes sense

Ohh, nice info - thanks for sharing. Am I right in thinking that these prices are similar across all chains? The missus is thinking of getting a DS Lite but she's not interested in the Pokemon game, and we hadn't thought of doing the trade-in.
