Key benefits:
200 UK minutes and 400 UK texts each month

Double texts included when you buy online

1Mb inclusive browsing allowance each month

There is also the ability to end the contract at any time you wish, you are only getting the sim card but in most contract cases you are simply paying a high charge mainly to cover the phone. I feel this is a very good offer for just £15 a month, let me know your opinions too. This is my first deal post so i hope it helps :) Thanks

#2
is the link down, or is it just me ??
#3
Just go to the O2 website, they've had this on for weeks.
#4
Thanks 'Handy Andy' . Good spot.

Paul.

I definatly would take this deal if i had a job + used my phone that often a month. Voted hot
#6
tis a good deal, but already posted late June here, or has o2 updated something?
#7
can you top up and get the credit taken out ???? or does it have to be from your card.
#8
Qudico is also avaliable and hate to say this but this deal has already been posted.

I'm currently on a sim only 200 mins and 500 texts deal with Virgin for £15p.m.

I might consider swapping to this after my free broadband offer runs out as o2 reception at home is excellent whereas I struggle to get half a bar with Virgin sometimes.

It would be worth losing 100 texts a month just for the better reception at home as I don't currently use all my texts anyway.

Voted HOT!

Is it right that if you buy any of those deals, you get double texts free ??

So if I got the online 15 - 50 mins and 200 texts - I would get 400 texts ??
#11
There is a mistake in this post its only 400 texts not 800 texts double texts have already been added as stated in advert so in total you get 200 mins and 400 texts if you buy online and 200 mins and 200 texts if you buy instore
#12
ah right, got ya

thanks for the help
#13
I did this last week the sim was delivered within two days and if you use Quidco you get £35 cash back.
#14
Is it possible to roll over to next month for remaining credits?
#15
The key advantage to these sim only deals is that they are a quick route to O2 retentions (genuine O2 retentions at that, although CPW retentions seem to have pulled up of late). Basically if you take this deal & use it for 3 months, you can call up & ask to cancel because you have seem a better deal (e.g. you have found the o2 service excellent, but you have seen a 3 offer with a phone for £15 per month & your phone has started playing you up after you dropped it). All the better if you happen to need to exceed your allowances in the meantime (e.g. roaming while on holiday or better still on business, where someone else pays the cost) - I had this happen to me on T-mobile - I was roaming in Ireland, Paris & Athens during my first month & having messed up my 1st bill, they didn't correct it fully in the second, which happened to be ~£60, making me a decent customer - for the 80p they still owed me and a well worded firm but fair & polite email, I got £10 off!!!

Hope this helps someone.

EDIT: lhwjud I think allowances only roll over if you pay £30 or 40 plus line rental - when you least need it :(
#16
Intertesing point about the rententions dept. I just got one of these the other day and on my welcome email also said that after being on this deal for 30 days your eligable for o2 Treats which I believe give you more free mins and/or texts - guess another good incentive for this deal.

There if definatly no rollover minutes or texts on the £15 a month sim only deals.

Like a few people have said this deals been on for a while and if you go via quidco you get £35 cashback - sweetens the deal even more.

Also there is another online version of the deal where you get 1500 mins (off-peak) and 500 texts but I guess this wont suite everyone but it is still £15 a month.
#17
Just incase anyone like me was having trouble finding this deal , its not exactly clear when you get to the deals page that other options are available.

Copy/paste into your browser nav bar.

has anybody actually had the quidco money received or has it just tracked OR validated?

Hi

I like the sound of this sim for my daughter who has o2 genie withh 300 texts for £10 top up each month

But just wondering am I right in thinking if she uses all the 400 texts will she be able to run up a bill any extra used?
#20
Thanks so much mate your my hero I've been looking for this for ages but I could never find it on the o2 website. Buying two of these right now.

Cheers!

Yes she would run up a bill for the extra texts sent. However for a fiver more you can get double minutes and 1000 texts which should be more than enough texts for anyone. (he says! ;-) )
#23
If she does just cancel it...
#24
Hmm, cancelling doesn't make a £400 bill go away though! The only contract for kids (of whatever physical age) is mix it from T-mobile - contract prices/allowances with P&G credit system. May not be as good value, but I'd say:

200 minutes = up to £75
400 texts = up to £40
being able to sleep at nights = priceless :-D

I signed up to this around 10 days ago, good deal.

Might be worth mentioning that the actual monthly cost is £15.51 with VAT and 30 days notice is required.

#26
Cant you set a credit limit on it so if getting for kids they dont run up a massive bill
#27
I don't really think this is something that is meant for kids really. Its the same as getting any other contract except you only have to give 30 days notice as pose to being fixed to a 12 or 18 month term. All the same contract rules of running up bills etc all apply.
#28
1000 texts is nothing i can finish that in 2weeks i reckon

Hustler, if you are indeed serious, can I make a moneysaving suggestion?

Get a life.

Ever tried communicating with people the 'old fashioned' way? (i.e. talking either face to face or on the phone)

If you are genuinely using circa 2,000 text messages a month, you have a serious problem.

Plus, you'll probably get RSI too :w00t:
#30
nah all i get is 500 and for a student calling is much more expensive so think about the other side as well you muppet.
#31
ordered.
thanks.

#34

#35
what should i expect from the 02 treats.
tried to register on 2211 but getting an error message.
#36
This is from the o2 site http://www.o2.co.uk/mobilestariffs/tariffs/paygo/o2treats

Welcome to O2 Treats. A little something for O2 customers* to enjoy, month after month after month after month.

It couldn't be easier to use O2 Treats. Just call free on 2211 to choose your treat from free texts, minutes and more. It's really that simple.

And because they're free, you may want to do something you've not tried before with your calls or texts when you get them. Why not phone for a cup of tea from your bedroom? Or text your mates to wish them a very happy Tuesday? Whatever makes you happy.

*Customers must have been with O2 for six months to take advantage. New customers can register in advance.

Call free on 2211 to choose your treats.

On the Sim only deals though I believe you have to of been on it for a month before you can register. Don't know much more than that but I think you can call o2 from your handset for free. Maybe just as them?
#37
O2 treats when I was on my 500mins/400 txts was either like 50 free texts for an hour a day or 25 extra mins per month, not the most amazing of deals
#38
i managed to get 25% off calls in my last o2 treat. that seemed pretty good to me
#39
I migrated my number from o2 paygo to this contract. I have been on less than 30 dyas and i have been allowed to select an o2 treat. Went for 10% of calls for 3 months in case i go over my allowance.
#40
Calls are billed by the minute not the second.
Which I think is a real con
