Three have revamped their sim only deals and are doing some good deals for low end users. You can now get:
200 mins/5000 texts/500mb data for £6.90 on a 12 month contract. (+ 3 to 3 calls for existing customers)
The standard deal comes with 500mb but as stated above you can ring up Customer services after taking the contract out and activate the AYCE add on for £3pm taking the price to £9.90pm
You can buy the deal online WITH £50 CASHBACK via qudico / phone and then ring up customer services to add the ayce data. i'd recommend that anyone who want this deal confirm through CS that the £3 add on can be activated after you take out the contract. I've already done this twice and got the same answer but this way you can cancel the contract (mis-selling/distance cancellation policy) if three suddenly change their mind about letting people do this. But if you want the 500mb data one then this is still the best sim only deal out there at the moment for the price. Obviously there are better contract deals etc... but this is for if you already have a phone/

-I have been told by customer services twice that the AYCE data can be added for £3pm via customer services on the phone.

*There are two types of AYCE add ons. One is £3pm and gives you unlimited data. You cannot remove this add on until the end of the contract term (12 months)
The second one is £5pm and gives you AYCE unlimited data for 30 days, this can be removed and added whenever you need it. (this is better for people who rarely use 500mb and want to stay on the £6.90pm version.
YOU CANNOT TETHER ON THIS PLAN (according to Three UK).
-Only the One Plan sim only/contract (£25pm+) will allow you to have unlimited data and unlimited tethering.
-There is no fair use policy on the AYCE add on for this tariff. You can do as much downloading/streaming/browsing as you want.
-You can cap this account so you will not be able to use any services out of allowance and the monthly cost will always be at £6.90/£9.90

In that case, still a good deal and cheaper than Giffgaff, no point in unlimited texts if 5000 is enough, and I tried Giffgaff and had a really poor signal, most of the time in anycase.

well i consider myself to use internet alot and i just about go over 500mb a month!
i dont think many people get through 1gb a month never mind 1 hr! hows it even possible?!
