Just about to cancel contract with Orange this month and was offered this deal with choice of handsets, opted myself for Sony Ericsson W910i, no charge for the handset.
Not a cashback deal, thought this was pretty good even though signing up for 18 months.
Just to give folks an idea of what is offered almost immediately when you phone to cancel, maybe more to be had with heavier users which i am not.
Not available online you need to phone up, speak to Kevin, nice bloke for a Geordie!

VERY COLD - just doing a quick search on google for the phone u have opted for it is £90 on pay and go and you will be paying £180 over 18 months which is a very long time, cold for me i'm afraid, i'm sure you could have haggled a better deal through that dept.

I ring through to "cancel" with o2 every yr and i always squeeze a good deal out of them to keep me on, usually one of the best phones out at the moment worth between £250 to £400 and i get 12 month contracts, £30 line rental with £200 cash back via redemptions and 400 mins and 500 texts, thats what u call a good "cancellation" contract offer my friend. working out £160 over a year (£13 a month) with good bundle of calls and texts and the latest phone

I'm guessing it's £10 per month but could you clarify if that's just a one off of £10 or £10 per month?

Cheers.

Great Deal either way.

Yes the phone is only £90 on pay as you go, so basically

10x18 months = £180
minus £90 for phone
= £5 per month for 200 mins and unlimited txt

Sounds like a bloody good deal to me

Whenever your phone's contract is due to run out, call up and want to cancel, you need to request your code to transfer your number, I can't recall what its called, you need to go through a few departments, each department has more to offer you. The people who can give you your code have the most to offer. NEVER take their first or second offer. MAke sure your through to disconnections. There are that many phone companies they want to keep you. Most peoplethink there getting a good deal with the first offer as the way its put across. You can always gat a new up to date phone, bluetooth ridiculous amounts of mins and unlimeted texts for a low price!
Good luck

Do you know what handsets they're offering with this deal. I've been offered it too, when I renew in just under a month, but dont know which handset to go for.
Which ones are good at the mo. I have a U600 at the mo, would prob go for something similar.

Cheers for any advice!

The number you would ask for is the PAC - Port Authorisation code.

Billyporn, you are quite right it's a deal. Ashamuk is comparing to cashback deals, obviously not like for like, ( by the way who said i was your "friend?" ).

Hi, sounds like a great deal to me!
I took my twin girls into an orange shop 2 weeks ago, and asked what contract they could offer me with the same phone as above, and I ended up with 100 mins unlimited text 24 month contract for £15 a month x2! No mention of above offer, and I have been with orange for years, and my 3 kids, but not contract!
Do you think I could try and get them changed?

You are probably already locked in to these new contracts, worth checking the paperwork to see if you can opt out/cancel and start afresh, best of luck.

Thanks, will check the paperwork

thats a real deal i with vodafone was going to cancel and all they would give was 150 mins and 5oo text for £15 month still thinking/looking

I'm paying £9 a month for 150 minutes, 300 texts, unlimited offpeak texts, unlimited internet, blackberry service, and 1000 minutes over wifi to call landlines in the uk and internationally... and free broadband too.

Beat that :)
