good price though

This coffee isn't Fairtrade. Also, Nestle is one of the most boycotted companies in the world for promoting bottles milk ahead of breast fed milk in developing countries, see http://blogs.guardian.co.uk/businessinsight/archives/2005/09/01/branded.html

"so what" that the producers are guaranteed a fair price for the coffee beans or "so what" that the death and suffering of babies can be caused from bottled baby milk that lacks nutrients and can be made from contaminated water? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nestl%C3%A9_boycott)

they also have huge jars with 50% extra for £4 in tescos southend at the moment

£5.79 for 200g!?*?!

I never buy instant - Lavazza Qualita Rossa costs £2.59 for 250g and tastes like heaven.
Why would anyone buy instant muck for twice the price? - it only takes a couple of minutes to brew, how instant do you need it to be?
Another reason I can't stand instant, apart from the taste, is that I live near Europe's largest instant coffee manufacturing facility, and the smell that comes out of there is enough to put anyone off, particularly on a hot day!

A cheap 1 cup cafetierre and ground coffee - give it a go and you'll never look back! and you'll save money!
Even better: a grinder, beans, and a Bialetti - nothing beats freshly ground.

Currently £4.00 each at Sainsbury's on their website. Offer ends 1/12/2009.

The smaller jar is £2.59, but it's the jar that is showing at £4 that is in the Tesco offer.

I don't think we need to be samaritans to want to buy products that ensure the producers are not pushed into poverty. Yes this coffee is cheap, but falling prices mean that coffee bean farmers often cannot afford to support their families. Personally, I always buy Fairtrade brands to ensure I can enjoy a cup without others suffering.

Oh perleese! Spare me the bleeding heart hypocrisy, bet you drive a car that pollutes the air I have to breathe! But of course its easy to be sanctimonious and self righteous about issues that don't require any personal sacrifice on your part.
#20
personal sacrifice when choosing a Fairtrade product is only a few pence extra.
Fairtrade has huge revenues now and really changes lives for those it partners with.

As a member of the first world we have a duty to help those vulnerable to corporate exploitation.

I honestly cant believe the rubbish some people type. if you don't like it, dont buy it and shut up.

For people who like it, great, enjoy the offer or suggest a better one.

For my first post, I am glad i made it hot.

Ooh, is that the kettle i hear boiling!!
