Note that they're apparently shipped from France, so will need travel adaptors for UK sockets.

I've ordered these and they've been dispatched.
#5
I believe they already come with plug adapters as they list a number of compatible countrys including the UK.

Bit confused what these were at first as they seemed to imply they created a new wireless access point, but basically they're powerline adapters. Excellent price for 200mbps devices. Jut hope price really is for a pair.

Anybody know if these conform to some kind of standard i.e. would they work with other manufacturer's 200mbps devices?
#16
Wow, that didn't last long!
#17
Seem to be sold out now- I got my order in fast hope i get them.

no, the standard till recently was stupid....most new ones should conform to the newer homeplug av standard and i think a newer faster standard should be out soon with much faster speeds 500-600mbps.

and just to confuse people homeplug and homeplug av are different standards and arent compatible...as I found out from netgear (who kindly didnt state this anywhere except INSIDE the packing....dumb!! - i complained and now its on their website too)

why o why do thick idiots name differing standards, why not call it homeplug version1, version2 or something

Wifi has nothing to do with these, you probably mean router. You connect one to your router and one to your Ethernet capable TV.

Well worth picking up these. So handy. I extend our network upstairs with one.

Far better than running cables, especially when your floorboards are chipboard!
