Why because our media pointed out a major floor with the voting process.. i.e. you can bride it?

Agreed, UK is a dump anyway.

Wouldn't the Russian 'Home' shirt be more apt?

I don't see why the cold votes. At the end of the day the shirt is quite reasonably priced really. ;-)

Great, having to travel 2000 km between stadiums is such a wonderfull usage of time and all those time differences will not effect the players anyway. It's great that the FIFA in all their wisdom chose the two countries which have no coruption whatsoever. It's great to see that the best bids got the tournaments and that this time it wasn't all about the money. It's awesome that two countries which can't even qualify for a tournament can now also participate, let's share the wealth.

[email protected] of this; people in the office are really annoyed!

The fact that Russia will get a massive, Billion pound face lift is good enough for me!

I've voted hot anyway, and might try and pick up a russia shirt!

Kudos!

Russia winning isn't that big a shock, they had a great bid. Shocks are England being last out of 4 bids and Qatar winning 2022! Better hope the games are at midnight...
#26
do they swtock the 2018 shirt?
#27
What a crock, however I'm sure Sepp Blatter will sleep easy tonight..... on matresses stuffed full of cash.....
#28
if we can't change the corrupt process we should pull out alltogether... let's see how they like it with all our revenue pulled out of the pool.....
FIFA and the world cup are not what they once were as club football is very much to the fore now anyway..... just ask a lot of our fans, managers and indeed players........

I can see why Russia got it- first in eastern Europe etc. They shouldn't have, though, because the rich people will keep all of the money so there will be no real benefit for the people. I cannot understand how Qatar got it. It will be 50C in the sun in June and there are only 1.7 million people who live there. What the hell are they going to do with 10 x 40,000 seater stadiums after it has finished? Australia were the country that should have got it. I can guarantee one thing. The temperature will make the Qatar world cup the worst tournament in the history of sport. It is going to look like obese people playing pub football because they won't be able to run.

Qatar has a lot of money to waste on vainglorious sports events and the latest high tech. Nobody will even notice the weather inside those stadia. If it works.

At least that climate will suit our long-ball international game to the ground - we might even make the semis!

Not surprised they got it, FIFA are all about preferring the developing nations over established.

When your bid is fronted by someone one step up from a retard and another who is nothing but a drain on the taxpayer's finances, then I say, well done Russia.

Too harsh?

I wonder how much use they will get after the world cup? The third largest city in Qatar has 31,000 people, the 5th largest has 13,000. Only 350,000 of the 1,700,000 are citizens according to wikipedia. I guess that FIFA and UEFA have very different ideas about sustainable football.

At least the camera men will be happy. Imagine all the hot totty they can take pictures of in Russia considering that's all they seem to do at World Cups...not that i'm complaining.

Oh well if anybody finds any good deals on pipes and slippers then will come in handy if we do ever get it.

gutted, but will be in Brazil for 2014 :)
