Aye. The World Cup is amazing, but club football is the true bread and butter of football. Soon as the WC is finished, everyone will be looking at the release date for FIFA 11, as that's the game that is actually good value for money.

I'd definitely buy and keep this game for £15 though, as the online world cup is pretty fun and much better than random ranked head-to-head games.

good price. only worth having for during the wc though.
#4
Great price. Heat added
#5
Decent price, but the game itself plays like its been programmed by a 12 year old, much like FIFA 10 did.

I'm hoping Konami really do "overhaul" the PES series, so it at least forces EA to release a FINISHED product for a change. Due to the huge amounts of bugs and glitches in every release, no FIFA is "value for money".

Great price for a really good footie game. I liked this A LOT more than Fifa 10.

Game Gears seem to be doing good deals lately, has anyone used them before?

i got this free with a ps3 currys deal, never played it and got shot asap as it will be £1 after the world cup. i got £24 cash at CEX. decent price for now though.
#8
Good Price, But as said, it will go down right in the middle of the World Cup, :)

Still a very good deal tho imo

I may buy this when it reaches £10. Dont see the point in paying this much for a game which will be collecting dust on the shelf in a few months.
#10
Really wanna get this but it's gonna have no resale value soon so i'm not gonna bother.

TERRIBLE GAME... buy fifa

You are aware that this is exactly the same as FIFA10, just limited to countries with the bonus of being able to play the world cup tournie?

I mean even the bugs from FIFA10 are still in this one.

I wouldn't even look at this game unless it dropped to at least £9.99.

This game is pretty good, won the WC for England and heskey was top scorer!!!
#14
No Joe Cole in the England team ... not even with the updates! Shame

not at all realistic then :whistling:
#16
Bit more tempting at that price, but sub £20 before I'll buy it.
#17
EA should have released this game at £20, and also they need to update the squads now all of the real squads have been announced!

You are aware that this game is NOT just with countries version of FIFA10? It has a lot of gameplay changes and is more a FIFA10.5 and will be incorporating the changes into FIFA11. I have played Fifa10 and WC2010 edition and they are not the same games - substantial differences between the two.

Read any review (Eurogamer are usually pretty good) or forums before making yourself looking stupid on a national forum.

Well the squad was only released yesterday so give them time to update them haha!

WC Game is pants, don't even bother, wait for FIFA 11 / Pes 11. Ea mentioned something a while back about Natal support for Fifa :)

The only really bad Fifa 10 bug is the one when playing only after making a sub the 'stadium scroll' will never end.

Fifa 07 < Pro evo 6
Fifa 08 > Pes 08
Fifa 09 > Pes 09
Fifa 10 > Pes 10

But I think by 2012 Konami will either pull out or make an amazing game better than Fifa's offering.

Personally, I'm a FIFA addict and love this game.

Was obsessed with FIFA 97. Then FIFA went downhill, and ISS Pro (PES) took over. PES was amazing until 2008, then it backtracked and wasn't fun to play anymore. Conveniently, FIFA stepped up its game in FIFA 09 and became a genuinely fun game to play again. I have lost countless hours playing FIFA 10, and then decided to get the World Cup game for my birthday (bought it for £29). Love it! The atmosphere is tremendous - just like the World Cup.

However, the game won't have a lasting value. I've bought the game because I'm in 'World Cup Mode' - the feeling will pass once the World Cup has ended. We buy games to enjoy playing them, and personally I feel it's better to get this game now while in the spirit of the tournament than in the middle or following; the game will drop in price after that, no question.

My only gripe, as mentioned earlier, is Joe Cole. I hope they bring him in with an update, because he will play a key role in England's midfield. I intend to play him left midfield to allow Ashley Cole to make runs down the left wing. Without him, I'm at a bit of a loss what to do in midfield, because two wide players doesn't seem to work.

This should have been a £5 or £8 dlc for FIFA 10

They are asking you for £30 to be a beta tester for fifa11 really

Having played the WC 2010 demo, it did feel a bit more touched up than FIFA 10, as it should be. However I refuse to pay more than £30 for any game, no matter what it is - so now this is less than £30 I'm tempted, and this coming from someone who disliked FIFA immensely in comparison until Pro Evo went hugely downhill a couple of years ago.

Plus, as Infinite Element says, as soon as the World Cup is over (or England get knocked out), it just won't be the same game / have much appeal.

But, hot price ~ cheapest around to my knowledge.

EDIT: They now have stock, but have put the price back up to £33.50!!
