Watched a video of the wii one by accident ( that was terrible ) It actually looks good, i may just get this!
#2
apparently according to the member of staff at Asda said they were competing with Tesco for sales!
#3
Is it any different from Fifa 10? Except for having no clubs, just international teams?
#4
I've heard a lot of people on the interwebs saying it'll be 24.99 at Morrisons but I've heard nothing of Sainsburys!
#5
tesco def scans at £39.71 100%

buy it, enjoy it, sell it to cex couple days or so before the final, you'll recoup most of what u paid :)
#8
Why don't one of them break the mould and go £23.99 will pick up a copy in morning then sell some games at cex to pay for it
#9
wouldn't that be nice! one should break the mould and give it away ^^
#10
CeX stores sell: £40.00
CeX stores buy for cash: £26.00
CeX Stores give exchange value: £32.00

Think i might just have too!
#11
No one has been able to validate this price, just rumours so far.

I thought the commentary was a bit better, otherwise not a great deal of difference.

Actually, just thinking about it, there were a couple of new gamemodes but they didn't look very good.
#16
Hoping it will be this price at midnight.
#17
If this is in any ads in tomorrows papers could you please scan it, or at least post the paper and page.

Going to try a PC World price match on this as I want the game but given that Fifa 10 was a buggy piece of sh*te.that EA never patched I don't want to pay too much.
#18
Asda Blantyre is scanning at £39.71, I'm in the store right now and just seen it with my own eyes. Might update on the master computer at midnight but until then its 100% £39.71
#19
Okay, im gonna drive down to my nearest Tesco that stocks games now, will post the price when I get back :)
#20
I'm going to have a goosey at my local Tesco and see if it's really £25. Reckon it will be. I'll post my results regardless.
#21
just been told if you spend £50 instore at tesco you can get it for £10
#22
Its not a big release, so it wont be £25.

Plenty of people with experience in marketing have analysed this release on the EA forums, and the basic logic is:

Big Title Release = Big Midnight Launch = Big Sales to cover loss of profits from selling at a reduced price.

Semi-Decent release (splinter cell etc) = No Midnight Launch = Slighty reduced price for very limited period.

Small Release = No midnight Launch = Possible or No Price Reduction to keep profit margins up.

But I guess we'll see in the morning. Ordered it for £30 on ebay and will be here in the morning, so if it ends up being £25 then the £5 I would of saved would be spent on petrol anyway

What is your source? the EA Forum?
#24
I read somewhere that the English team will feel the weathers effects (climate and all that) Along with Holland ( i think it was ) before any other team, which will make them run out of energy faster. That slightly put me off... cant find it anywhere so it may have been a lie...
#25
Remember these World Cup / Euro games dive in price as soon as the tournament is over (or England get knocked out) so expect to pick it up for less than £14.99 come mid July
#26
if it's scanning at tesco @ 39.71 right now the price won't update until around 3am-that's when the national update for prices normally goes live, sometimes it can be 1am other times it could be 6am or later but 3am is the normal update time if everything is running smoothly-some nights(in 24 hours stores) for a midnight launch the price integrity dept might get a message to manually adjust the price, last time i think it happened was either fifa 10 or mw2...i'd buy at 24.99 as i've lost my fifa disc :-(

Good logic; but the World Cup us the biggest sporting event on the planet. That might apply to the Euro games or Champions League games more so than a World Cup game.

After the World Cup yeah...

The whole point of the game is its major appeal with the World Cup going on, to immerse yourself in the game and play it due to the World Cup...so people will buy it now and up to the cup..

Less people will fancy buying it when its finished, so yeah, it drops in price, cos the appeals gone.

Thanks for posting. I'll keep an eye on this thread as I might pick it up for the little fella if it's 25 quid!!
#33
£25 is good!
£10 with £50 shopping? Great. Highly doubt it but would love to be wrong!!

the live chat is with fifa-addicts, a fifa league I play in, one of them works at Asda and another at Tesco (;

EA Forums is NOT a live chat!

Hang on = the OP has said he is getting this from a friend who is in the queue at tesco. But on EA forums - the same guy is saying someone from Tescos on live chat told him.

No I am just trying to find out whether game is this price - these are the two forums with the most chat. I don't want to head out to tescos/asda and deal not be on

In fact other forum - price check has confirmed £39.99.
#38
tbh I'm just updating what I get told, hearing now that a guy is ringing asda!

Edit: Asda deal at Walton must have been store specific or missed scanned, it's come up at 39.71 now :(

I've hit expire, it was good while it lasted!
#39
I've got this and the physics have changed slightly for the worse e.g sliding. I also find this more boring than Fifa 10
#40
Hope the ASDA price is true.
