2040 Clubcard points (worth up to £81!) when ordering Diablo 3 (Xbox 360 / PS3) for £40 @ Tesco Direct - HotUKDeals

Update: They've now accidentally duplicated one of the discount codes, meaning it's currently 2040 Clubcard points for a Diablo 3 pre-order. That's £20.40 of Clubcard vouchers, which (for example) can be traded for £61 (3x value) or 861 (4x value) when using the Clubcard Rewards scheme.

* Get 1000 extra Clubcard points when you pre-order Diablo 3
* Get 500 extra Clubcard points when you spend £35 on pre-order games
* Get 500 extra Clubcard points when you spend £35 on pre-order games

Original description follows:
-------------

OK so the preorder price of £40 is nothing special, but due to stacked promo codes, you can currently get 1040 Clubcard points (which can be exchanged for up to 4x their value) for ordering. If you exchange your points for restaurant tokens, this effectively means you're getting a free game...

* Get 500 extra Clubcard points when you pre-order Diablo 3
* Get 500 extra Clubcard points when you spend £35 on pre-order games

While you're spending £40, why not try for a couple of free games at the same time? Max Payne 3 and World Rally Championship are £5 each; add them to your basket and enter discount code TDXR-FHMR at checkout, and it might just bring your basket back down to £40 again. (Thanks goonertillidie for the tip)

Why dont you add Max Payne 3 and WRC 2 (360) and use code TDXR-FHMR to get total basket to £40?

NB: Tesco are showing the incorrect release date (it says 30/12/13 which is their shorthand for "we don't know"). The game is actually released on September 3rd.

Points are credited to your Clubcard within 24 hours, and the next lot of Clubcard vouchers are due to be sent to customers soon after July 20th.

On the Xbox/PS3? I doubt it.

Nice idea, but seems to remove the 500 points for a pre-order??

No, there's no always-online requirement for the console version. There's offline co-op available too.

Didn't work for me, it says: "This eCoupon is linked to another customer account and it can only be used in that account." Seems here that it works for some, but not for others. Definitely worth a try - added it to the description.

Already did this with Company of Heroes 2. 730 points which is worth about £29.20 in Vouchers, so the game cost me 80p :>

Please make it clearer you're only getting £10 worth of vouchers and not £40. It's only £40 if you go through club card exchange.

Does anyone know if we will get any of the pre-order bonuses if bought from Tesco? Just curious as this would make this offer even better. Signed up to a Tesco clubcard just because of this promotion. So thank you OP.

Great find I also had a code for £5 off any purchase over £20 on tesco direct heat added

It doesn't mention them in the text, but the boxart on the Tesco website says "Preorder now and get Infernal Helm".

Amazon's listing of that bonus is as follows:

http://g-ecx.images-amazon.com/images/G/02/uk-videogames/2013/Pre-orders/infernal_helm_diabloiii._V369964918_.jpg

"Wearable for all five hero classes of Sanctuary--Witch Doctor, Barbarian, Demon Hunter, Wizard and Monk--the Infernal Helm head piece confers an experience bonus that will help your character level as you set out to defend the mortal world from the invasion of the Burning Hells."

So yeah, you're probably getting that.

Any idea if people from the XBOX and PS3 version would have access to the LIVE auction?

I think for me it was so nice to have access to the auction made so much gold, but then kept buying Legendary items that made the game too easy so eventually got bored :(

Any pre-order will get you the same bonus:
"Pre-Ordering Diablo III guarantees that your game copy will include a key for the Infernal Helm on launch day."

The helm is garbage btw.

No online requirement or action house for the console version. But you will be able to exchange items with the other players.

Yea i think it should be made very very VERY clear at the top, that you are infact getting £10 worth of vouchers in-store purchases which may be redeemed up to 4x their value. This is very misleading for someone that doesn't use Tesco.

You're not getting ANY vouchers. You're getting 1040 Clubcard points. Worth up to £41. It states all of this very clearly.

If you don't know how Clubcard points work, this is probably not the deal for you.

I personally think its states clearly enough and if you don't read the full post before you purchase more fool you.

"CODESTACK!
1040 Clubcard Points (worth £41) when you get Diablo 3 for £40 (possible free games too!)"

This was hotukdeals facebook post that linked me to this page. Now tell me if thats not misleading? Plus the original post which i first commented on has been changed to make this alot more clearer. Another point is, that not all of us live beside Tesco, and use Tesco on a regular basis, i.e. i would use Tesco merle to order deals from this site.

Ok. I used this code. tdx-pkmw Gives £10 off your first order when you spend £50 (I added Far Cry 3 as I have been told its a good game, but the kicker is you lose 500 points of those points.

For me the loss of points is not an issue, as I can still exchange these £5 of vouchers into £20 for Pizza Express and take out the girlfriend. (Keeps her sweet as she loves Pizza Express)

So now I'm responsible for what HUKD choose to write on their Facebook page? The title was "worth up to £41" since I posted it. Because it's worth up to £41.

Plus the original post which i first commented on has been changed to make this alot more clearer.

You're welcome?

Winey, thats a cheap shot, just hoping that people like myself understand this before purchasing (i half understood what you meant in your first draft of your post), so i waited for someone else to post this issue, and thankfully i did. Gotta remember while 50% of the people on here are Tesco users im sure the other 50% have no idea about the 4x club points, so for the people like I and other who are simply after the deal, we could be so easily mislead.

Ps, i know you have no control over HUKD facebook, but it didnt help in understanding your deal post.

Download torchlight demo and you'll see what kind of game D3 is. Action looting rpg. It's third person & isn't quest orientated.

I sometimes wonder why people bother posting deals when you read some of the replies.I never realised people would be completely unable to follow a perfectly simple thread title.

could just order it and then sell it again?

Amazon would take £6-8 in fees then you have postage on top of that, by that time you've lost £10 for £10 worth of points. Is it really worth it?

Area88 £40 worth of vouchers. So £40 goldsmiths vouchers at Xmas when they do the 4x. I have just ordered 2 of each so £40 tesco vouchers x4 = £160 goldsmiths vouchers for £160 spend on these games. Sell em sealed for around £30 each after fees so outlay of £40 for £160 to spend in goldsmiths. GET IN.

Good little investment these, £40 for £40 worth of vouchers + The ability to sell the game after completing it for profit.

Best of all if you pay today you will have your vouchers by the end of the month. As this month is payout month.

Heat added!

No!

In simple terms:
1041 clubcard points = £10.41 tesco voucher

If using Clubcard exchange:
4 x £10.41 would = £40
3 x £10.41 would = £30
2 x £10.41 would = £20

(This is a numpty guide, and figures may not be 100% correct for pedantic readers )

has it expired? only shows as 540 points for ps3 diablo 3 preorder

Yes, looks like it, I see the same thing. Even though both promos are still listed on the product page. Oh well, it was a good run while it lasted!
#40
Hey everyone quick question. this has been expired but when i just placed all three mentioned games in the chekout it says new points is 1500 and my current total points is 1544

does this mean ill be getting an extra 1500 points for buying the 3 games?
