I wouldn't say it's educational unless you're studying decision-tree computing systems (which is how I came across the concept many years ago). Someone has linked to an online version you can try and see for yourself, it basically asks you questions and usually gets the answer by the 20th one. What is quite entertaining about it is that the route it's taking seems fairly obvious and often completely wrong but then suddenly out of the blue it will get the answer right on the 20th question. It's really funny watching sceptical people obviously expecting it to fail as it seems to be going off the trail and then their surprise when it gets the correct answer.

Tried it twice and didn't work. Still might pick one up though good for xmas day drunk.

these things are genius... I got one for my Grandad when he was in hospital after a heart attack... it was the hit toy of the ward!

First time I tried it I went for granite... very ambiguous kind of thing, I thought... it still got it, even after asking lots of weird questions like "is it bigger than a duck?" and others about size more than anything... invariably answering "sometimes"... and it still gets it!

It may not get it every time, but a lot of it will be down to how you answer the questions it gives you. And often it'll take a punt on an answer and it'll be very near, even if it fails. Brilliant gadget for the price.

Is it right that Amazon have now scrapped their price difference refund scheme?

Arghh got a grey one from Amazon. I thought it was only 3 colours. I don't like the look of grey its very bland.
